Hello bass family! I bring you vibrations from the start of the season here in Bristol at the Jam Jar, the stomping ground of the weird and truly wonderful folk of the Psychedelic Jelly tribe. After over four years away from the decks, it felt so fucking good to be behind them again. 

Gratitude to Forest for having me on such a magnificent lineup, to Mike for lending me a laptop so i could play, and to James for the tunes. I have so many beautiful people supporting me to do this thing <3

In the first edition of Refractor we had the pleasure of having the presence of a living music legend. Starting his career in the 90's as one of the pioneers of goa and psy trance (Shakta, Digitalis...), Seb Taylor continued his exploration of genres giving life to @seb-taylor-kaya-project (dj set and live band) in 2004. Since then he hasn't stopped releasing music and playing all over the world showing his particular fusion of genres characterised by a great personality. 

Get ready to relive one of the most magical moments of our festival in which we could travel in time and space for more than 90 minutes.

Blessings to the tribe that be Magikana, Bass womped and beats grooved. Everyone who attended were legends, wonderful folk that keep the faith in humanity. Thankyou to my partner Faye for always showing me support and love on my musical adventures. It was wonderful to showcase and cherry pick some nostalgic classics amongst a few tasters of my new album! Big shout out to the crowd for supporting my set when in motion. Was a pleasure to take over the decks from the talented Tea Tree, who played our Smithereens track. Was great to hear Bad Tango playing out our 'Techtangle' collab track. Huge love to Shanti Planti Massive who performed on the saturday afternoon after my set at 3pm : Quanta, Eurthymy, Beatroots, Halfred, Jae Nimbus, DJ dreamfaerie. Really enjoyed Sigils downtempo set, Drumspyder certainly entertained all too. Each performance had its own personality and flavours which reminded me of the beauty of an individuals expression of music.

Presenting my 2 hour sunrise journey in the beautiful cathedral of sound.. The Dome at O.Z.O.R.A. Festival in Hungary. It was a moment in time I will forever cherish and what an honor it was to play the last set after so many amazing artists like Bayawaka, Dela Moon, Land Switcher, Quanta, & Akasha Experience during the Shanti Planti takeover in the Dome... ending an amazing evening of sound and dance.. Excited to share this journey with you all to relive again.

Thank you to all the extremely talented producers who have inspired me to weave these tracks in this mix, to the hardworking crew at O.Z.O.R.A. for your trust, skill & organization & to all the beautiful dancing spirits that were there in the early hours of the morning.

Bwoy de Bhajan - Live set at Goulash Disko Festival 2018

The hum and buzz of summer permeates Bwoy de Bhajan’s streams of challenging but pleasant sounds. The promising producer has a penchant for World Music, but at the same time clearly influenced by Western electronica of the more experimental kind. Despite the drowsy groove of the music, this music has plenty of delicate touches, edgy beats, wonky bass lines and Eastern mystique to get lost in. He is only 20 years of age, but has already sent many crowds into deep hypnosis, and shared the stage with artists varying from Tokimonsta and Daedelus, to Omar Souleyman, Spoek Mathambo or Madlib. He was a nominee for 'Hope of the Year' at last years Steppeulven (Critics) Awards in Denmark.

AYO is the solo project of danish composer, producer and sound artist Julie Schønherr Rosengreen.
AYO has been touring all over Europe since 2015. She has been playing in Morocco and The United States.
Some of the festivals she performed at includes Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Freqs of Nature festival, Anthropos, Hadra and The Rendezvous - Tipper&Friends in Florida.
She has been performing for The Danish National Bank, at the beautiful Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen, composed music for the theater play “Anna Walk With Me” and currently she is working both with installation art and performance art, making interactive and generative sound with plants, water and the human body. 
In 2020 she released her debut album Moto on Sofa Beats records. This was followed by several single & compilation releases on labels like Microcosmos records, Altar records and the danish female label SØNTH collective.
Her second album is soon due for release.

AYO strives to send a message of a more harmonious cohesion with nature, with each other and with ourselves. By incorporating nature elements into her performance, she tries to give nature back the voice it has lost. Giving the listener a chance to emphasise with it, by letting plants and water generate the sounds they hear, in an always evolving and generative pattern, which makes every performance new and unique.
Combining that with playing live hardware synths and her classical influenced compositions, the listener is presented with an experience of nature meeting electronics and the deeper emotional self -floating in to a world of dreamy and melodic soundscapes, dynamic pads, processed foleys and recorded ambience.
AYO has been playing and composing music since she was a child. With a background as a violinist and as a classical musician, the ambient genre was later a place where she felt at home and where she could express and unfold herself freely. 
She has a bachelor degree in electronic music and sound art from The Danish National Academy of Music. Here she has honed her expression and further developed her "voice" in order to be able to stand stronger with her message and vision.
