  This larger than life 6 foot 6, rapper, singer and producer came from a rich history of entertainers.  One third of Calgary’s prominent Crawford family, Pam Crawford who is a seasoned soul/R&B singer and Dana Crawford who is also a soul/R&B singer with the legendary Earthtones.  Jay Ross aka Jay Crawford is an entertainer in his own right and has been a prominent performer/mentor for the Hip Hop community.

  Jay Ross uses his diverse talents to create songs that people can relate to.  Not only is Jay Ross the voice and writer of these songs but he also writes, creates and produces the heavy, rich and banging beats that accompany the lyrics for the majority of his albums.  Never sticking to just one type of vibe/song, Jay Ross prides on being versatile and always pushing the creative limits with his music.

  Jay Ross on stage is a very confident, commanding and engaging entity in which the people are always engaged and participating to the energy and level of performance exhibited by the 6’6 giant.  Accompanied by a DJ, hype man and sometime singer/dancers or even all by himself this performer can always deliver an unforgettable show for any venue or configuration desired.  Not only is his huge stage presence captivating to the audience but with a skill level to matches, WATCH OUT!!!

  Jay Ross has been blessed in his career to have opened for some of the top artist in the game such as: The Game, Busta Rhymes, Naughty By Nature, Phife Dawg, Pharcyde, RUN DMC, Swoalin Members and much more.  Jay Ross has taken a step back from the stage to produce and work with other artist in the country.  Currently Jay hasbegan his resurgence in the game.  He is also giving back in the form of mentorship with his program in which he teaches youth to create and perform urban music “Rap for Reason”.  This progression was very natural for Jay Ross considering that he is and has been a youth development worker for the past ten years. 

  Currently working on finishing his solo album “Forever Nightmare” and a couple of Mix Tapes here and there, Jay Ross is always worth the price of admission BABY!!!.....WORD!.

  Jay Ross had an awesome 2014 year which started off by being the undisputed champion of the " FREESTYLIMPICS " 9 Rounds of smoke freestyle battle where Jay Ross won 9 Rounds in a row. claiming the title  Along with several shows and a few videos, 2015 will be one landmark year!!!
