Born and raised in Seattle, Filipino-American producer/singer/songwriter
Chris Carroll creates throwback lofi pop music with croons akin to Bowie & Presley, over sample-heavy boom bap instrumentals, with occasional acoustic and mainstream pop patinas. 

In 2019, following minor acclaim under his Burning Man-moniker Spoke,
and his debut single, collage ballad "Lost", Chris Carroll released his second single, "Edge of the Earth" with Art-Pop Indie Label, Manimal Vinyl Records (Warpaint, Yoko Ono, Bat For Lashes, Moby).

He is currently producing projects for long-time collaborator/lyricist Entendres; fellow Hapa hip-hop stalwart Gifted Youngstaz, and Oakland-based emcee/educator MADLines, as well as releasing an ongoing series of
Dream Journal beat tapes, now in its 6th installment.

His latest instrumental release is a conceptual sound collage album called Dream Yoga, which also commemorates his first vinyl release .
