It’s actually presented in two parts. It begins with an instrumental section and then transitions into a vocal version based on the same musical theme.

I composed an ambient piece centred around a chord progression that I feel works really well. It’s soothing, has a pleasant melody, and became the foundation for the first part of the piece.
While I was working on it, I was also writing some poetry. Something I don’t do very often. The theme explored aging—how we often view getting older as something negative. Inspired by a conversation with my mother, who is struggling with her feelings about her age, I tried to capture a more positive perspective on growing older.

I eventually decided to combine these lyrics with the ambient piece, which became the second part of the track.

With silver strands and stories told, 
Life’s richest treasures we now hold. 
The rush fades out, the calm comes in, 
A deeper peace beneath the skin. 
We laugh at things we used to fear, 
Each wrinkle marks a memory dear. 
In growing old, life feels more whole, 
A quiet joy that feeds the soul.

We savour days, we stroll, not race,
And find pure joy in slower pace. 
The heart grows wide, the soul grows kind, 
With gentle grace and open mind. 
The sunset years, a glowing light, 
That warms the soul and feels just right. 
In age, we see life’s truest gold, 
The sweetest gift of growing old.
