*** ROISIN MURPHY NOTES FROM 4AM NYC:
Right up front: i no longer play Róisín Murphy out, nor to myself at home anymore tbh. This is because she has been extremely 'out and proud' about her stance on Trans Identity and Trans Rights and, basically, everything to do with Trans folks and their journeys to self-actualization at any age or stage of their lives. It is horrifying, deeply fkd up, ignorant, and, at best, irrelevant.
She has stated her opinion very clearly in her recent written posts on Threads:

"...the insane belief that one can change sex—the core hallucination of this destructive and insidious movement—"
~Murphy, referring to the Trans Community worldwide.

I am not on Threads personally- a good friend showed the full statement to me at the beginning of November, 2025.
The NIGHTSCAPE 001 function+resulting recorded set took place in early July 2025- hence how/why I included 'Simulation' in my set at the time. 
I, of course, knew that Róisín had made some very dumb and damaging comments about out Trans people prior to this most recent doubling/tripling down on the subject this year, but she had also issued a written apology soon after that first time, which i read in full and concluded that she had spoken out of turn based on her own extremely misguided worries/anxieties. Back then the apology read true to me and I hoped that she would continue to educate herself and do better in the future, and so I continued to play her music.

But as of now [December 2025] I do not fk with her, her music, nor her beliefs or opinions about the Trans Community. I am disappointed & enraged beyond that this (once) incredible artist and former-lgbtqia+-icon has fallen the fk off her rocker on a matter such as this.

I have kept the track 'Simulation' in this 1hr excerpt however, as from a purely musical standpoint it -was- an important and integral part of the NIGHTSCAPE foundations. Even tho i will never play it again.
The real impact of this track was made possible by the larger team behind its creation, and so credit must go instead to the following:
