Michael Belayneh was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  Music, for Michael, has always been a passion to live for. While attending formal education at AAU, he also started taking piano lessons at Yared Music School with a private tutor, on a part time basis. There, he confirmed his talent for music particularly for singing. He later joined Medina Band as a part time English song singer. In those years, he has been playing at various night clubs in town with Medina and Express bands.

In 2003, Michael started producing his own solo album project with Elias Melka. While producing this album, he released his first single, the remake of Getachew Kassa’s song called Sayish Esasalehu. By 2005, his debut album called ANTE GODANA was released This album brought Michael closer to the larger audience. The album was a huge success as it caught the hearts of music lovers in a slow but subtle way. The tracks in ANTE GODANA are deeply driven by positivity and relaxing vibes. Such songs include Siqe Eshegnishalehu, Etebikishalehu, and Yefikir Mirchaye.

Tizita, a slow rock single, followed in 2010. After a long absence, Michael produced and delivered the very outstanding album, NAFKOT ENA FIKIR [meaning NOSTALGIA & LOVE in Amharic] in 2012. The album was named as ‘Album of the Year’ by Sheger FM 102.1 Leza Radio Show public votes.

The music is about the Ethiopian about the glorious king of Ethiopia, Menelik II and his army's victory destroyed Italy's attempt to build an colonial empire in Africa. The victory had further significance for being the first crushing defeat of a European power by African forces during the European scramble of Africa.

As influential figure, Teddy Afro is dubbed as "the greatest artist of all of time" and renowned for conveyance in political sentiment. Teddy Afro is considered as having a huge cultural impact on the Ethiopian music industry and has a big influence on many aspiring artists. Teddy Afro is often compared to Tilahun Gessesse for his unique ability of songwriting, musical style, and nationalistic sentiments. His 2017 song "Ethiopia" has over 19 million views on YouTube.

Asayehegn (Ayu) has been behind the scene of the Ethiopian Music Industry for more than 15 years. As a young kid growing up in Addis where Ethiopian Music from the golden era was played everywhere, little did he know that it would influence him to the extent that he would quit his job on the first day after graduating from University to pursue his dream, Music. Since 1997 he was active in the night life of Addis music scene for few years until he moved to the United States in 2003. That was about the time when he started to plant the seed his very first album. Since then, he collaborated with none other than Yohannes Tona who is arguably one of the upcoming exciting musician/bass extraordinaire of Ethiopia. Together they created a crossover sound, Ethiosoul which is inspired by Mahmoud Ahmed, Aster Awoke Teddy Tadesse and many more. Although it is not easy to describe the sound in one sentence after listening to the album we promise that you will be transported to the reflection of the past and without losing a beat you will arrive in new age future.
