In My Time is a traditional Black Americana gospel tune from the early 1900's under the name Jesus Gon Make Up My Dyin Bed, first recorded in 1927 by Blind Willie Johnson and subsequently recorded by many other artists under various titles. I learned this tune a few years ago for my grandmother when she was on her "dyin bed" sitting outside her window, strumming over and over till I got it down. I released it on what would have been her 101st birthday.
