Everybody’s favourite Adrian Hour is finally back on SNOE, and this time he has joined forces with his phenomenal friend Ale Castro. Both hailing from beautiful Argentina and living and breathing music, you know this combination can’t go wrong. Stacked with rhythm, their track “Club der Misionaere” lifts off the ground with acid inspired synths and impeccable drum work. As a genre transcending ode to curiosity and the appreciation for a good life, we move between the catchy groove and dreamy synths. It is just as wicked as life itself can be, promising sunrises, sunsets and never-ending nights filled with new experiences. SNOE label boss himself, Andreas Henneberg, joins in on the fun as he takes on the remix duty for the track. In classic Henneberg-style the remix oozes of sweaty club nights, with a rough groove and naughty, playful synths that twirl around ever-changing percussions. Continuing his explorations within house, techno, minimal and beyond, it’s safe to say San Francisco-based DJ, producer and label boss Andrew Rasse, aka Butane remains an artist at the top of his game when it comes to crafting functional, intuitive dance floor material. Kicking off the New Year with yet more classy and quality house efforts, late January sees Rasse deliver Extrasketch’s first output of 2023 as he unveils three fresh cuts in typically slick fashion with his ‘Dirt, Worldwide’ EP.

Lead track ‘Club Foot’ employs a killer organic tech house groove guided by rolling drums and shakers. Winding along effortlessly, the subtly hypnotic, infectious tune shapes up to be a low-key terrace anthem. Next, ‘Voice Inside (Filbert Street Mix)’ veers off into a slightly wonky and off-kilter warehouse trip as fuzzy analog bass patterns merge with warped vocal interjections and skippy percussion for a decidedly mind-meets-body affair. ‘Whatcha Doin’ closes the package on a smoother, dubby note. Harnessing a slightly eerie tension across the track, Rasse deftly drops some ear candy in the form of a cheeky vocal sample while harnessing those signature Butane elements. Another late-night mover in the bag.
