Microcosmos Records is happy to present Double Star System, the third album by EDD-989.

The author of EDD-989 is Eduard Korkin from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Eduard started his music career as an adherent of analog synthesizers and samplers, he was exploring his vision of sound in IDM, techno, downtempo. In 2011 he continued combining a range of music genres into his vision of cosmic ambient, and proved to be a bright chillout composer. After releasing Journey To The Core Of The Galaxy and The Return albums, Eduard assigned the status of a talented master in atmospheric chillout.

Double Star System is a brand new chapter in the music career of EDD-989. The album is full of groovy rhythms and immersive pads which are textured and tangible. The neat and clear samples intertwine into an elegant pattern of a transparent sound canvas. The sound architecture of the album is adorned with excellent vocals. The music of the album deeply touches listeners’ heartstrings and takes the mind far away to distant galaxies.

By the year of 2021 Takkra has evolved into a 7 piece live band as the core team joined by 3 vocalist: Molek Keri, Julcsi Szomr&aacute;ky and Donna Terra.

Consequently vocals have become more prominent and the live shows turned into real ecstatic medicinal therapy seances.

During our jams the songs have naturally reshaped in terms of arrangements, structures and melodies, the overall vibe has drifted towards a more organic, live sound.

Reactivated was recorded during several live sessions and gigs between 2012 and 2023. 
We felt it is important to share these tunes in their raw, unpolished form that perhaps capture some of the magic of the live Takkra shows.

After almost four years, the new album is finally finished. To be honest, I never planned it. It came about in stages. Sometimes haltingly, sometimes smoothly, and sometimes not at all. In the end, though, I can say that it's the most personal of all my previous albums.

Since his first release on Ultimae's Fahrenheit Project compilation in 2001, French electronic music artist Alexandre Scheffer has been making quite a name for himself under his alias Cell with many compilation features, a first album with Indica and several live digital recordings. 

[ Hanging Masses ] is an elegant and stylish album in which the various components flow together smoothly as part of carefully crafted compositions. Cell infuses his music with warm melodic bass lines, overlapping pads and gentles pulses creating a sense of perpetual motion. 

The album is made of 8 long tracks and features a collaboration with Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana on 'Switch Off'. Created with a wide array of composition tools, from the old analog synthesizers to the state of the art of new technologies, 

[ Hanging Masses ] delivers rich and ample soundscapes and constitutes in the artist's heart a homage to Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Steve Reich.
