Maggie Downs possesses an affinity for distracting you from the things that bring you down and transports you into a world of emotional resilience. Whether singing about waiting for a lover to come home from far away or simply basking in the simple realization of being in the presence of a significant other and having them reciprocate your feelings, Downs showcases a wide variety of lyrical subjects while dousing them in upbeat guitar and piano-drenched landscapes. 

Her journey began in her formative years through the encouraging of her parents to take piano lessons at age eight after noticing her natural ability to play by ear. She continued with choir in middle school and was composing original songs by 15. A stint in her church’s worship band seemed to hold the key to what was to come. 

“If it wasn't for Marcie Talley, who pushed me out on that stage to lead ‘Falling on my Knees’, I probably would not be singing in front of people today,” Downs remembers. “ I really loved worship and began writing worship songs.. I started to gain the attention of some of the music people at church and soon after I was leading people in worship to my songs. I really gained confidence as a writer and knew that I wanted to do songwriting professionally. I began to hone my skills and learn the craft.”
She enrolled at Troy University where she studied Music Industry, as well as classical piano and classical & jazz vocal performance. 
“I really appreciated the fact that they let me be me... and didn't pressure me to change,” she says of her schooling. “During my last couple years of college, I really began to bloom as a vocalist and songwriter. I was involved in multiple ensembles, and became a regular guest vocalist for the Jazz Big Band. In 2012, I was the lead female vocalist of POPulus,” a group that would eventually record one of her songs for their EP “The Drive.” 
These days, Downs lives with her husband in St. Louis and is recording her debut EP, I’ll Be Waiting due this October.
“My producer, Brad, and I started this project a year and a half ago when my love song to my deployed husband, ‘I'll Be Waiting’, went viral,” Downs reminisces. “Unintentionally, we hooked people and decided it was time to show them more of who I am as a songwriter and artist. For a long time we were just trying to figure out what direction we should take the project. One issue we had to tackle was the fact that everyone said I sounded exactly like Norah Jones- which is awesome because I love her - but I don't want to be anyone else, just Maggie Downs.”
Fortunately, for Maggie Downs, no comparisons will have to be made. She’s in a category of her own.

When I started out spinning, I basically taught myself. It took awhile for me to get it down, but I am a fast learner.After years of practicing, I landed a few resident jobs, in Houston clubs like, Cadillac Ranch, and City Streets. I then ventured to Atlantic City, New Jersey, where I finally was recognized for my talent and became the resident DJ at The House of Blues.

I am a man of trance, and house.
Those are my preferred genres to spin, however I do spin the popular demand....hip hop.I have done afterparties for:Billy Idol, The B-52's, Divo, Nine Inch Nails, and a few others. Coming up November 26th, 2008, I will be performing at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, opening for the Fishbone Fall Tour.


My name is Tony, also known as DJ Spiral. Don't be fooled, there is another guy using that DJ name, however, I have copywritten material from 5 years before he even started, and if he is reading this I hope he understands the severity of that. I started out spinning 13 years ago in my hometown, Houston, TX. This is a professional page, so please, keep your interests professional. This page is to discuss the arts of music and talent. Houston based DJ Spiral started Djing because his family came calling. His sister was frustrated because she couldn't find a DJ she liked for her wedding. She called her brother into action since he had dabbled in DJing, hung out with a lot DJs and knew what kind of music the family liked. The bug bite him and he spent the next couple of years sharpening his skills at home. Once Spiral was ready he started bouncing around doing parties for friends before landing his first club spot at Cadillac Ranch. The job was great but spinning country music wasn't Spiral's genre of choice, but hey it was paying gig and you've gotta start somewhere. After a a year of yee-haw's and knee slappin, he broke through to Houston's underground dance scene with a residecy at local hotspot the Hangar. Now he was in business, spinning the music that was close to his heart, trance and house. Unfortunatley this was cut short when city officials closed the Hangar over alleged fire code violations. Spiral bounced back and is now a resident at City Streets, a multi room venue in Houston. He is the Friday and Saturday resident of their afterhours event at The Rose and does frequent guest spins at Cages another City Streets venue. Like many other DJs, Spiral has graduated to producing his own music.

I am looking to find a record label to help me release my tracks world wide. I hope that out of all the user's on this site that one day I may achieve my life long dream of getting signed to a record label and playing in front of thousands of people. Christina Marie Cecrle is a saltwater singer songwriter from a hidden gem town, Mifln, AL. Her melody and lyrics come life experience, clever hooks come from thin air most of the time. Christina has worked with he Jennifer Clarie Moore Foundation performing songs, reciting poetry, and sharing that songwriting or writing is a great coping mechanism that a person can use.
