Sorcerer's Stone Chapters 1 - 4. On the inaugural episode of The Shrieking Shack, Liz and Xeecee read the first four chapters of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and discuss legally questionable Halloween costumes, Dudley Dursley's gaming habits, and getting sent to the closet for letting the snake out.

Sorcerer's Stone Chapters 7-8. It's time for the Sorting Ceremony! But before that, Liz and Xeecee celebrate the release of the political prisoner ItsHarryPotter and get into the nitty-gritty discourse of the new Crimes of Grindlewald trailer, including the moral quandaries of whether or not to even see it.

Episode 3: The Sorting Extravaganza

Sorcerer's Stone Chapters 9-10. This week Liz and Xeecee have practically nothing but good things to say about their reading, so to balance things out they discuss not one but TWO awful documentaries about J.K Rowling. (Harry Potter & Me and JK Rowling: A Year in the Life) Find out everything you never wanted to know about her stance on Wicca (she's not a fan) Minecraft (HUGE fan) and what her pal Stephen Fry has to say about "other fantasy" (it's for the feeble-minded) in this jam-packed episode!

Sorcerer's Stone Chapters 11-13. It's slime time! Liz and xeecee talk about weird toy commercials and lovable Youtube reviews before diving into some, you guessed it, politics. Albus Dumbledorf. As for the book itself, nobody is much of a Quidditch fan but there's plenty nice to say about The Mirror of Erised and what a touching chapter it is. Albus Dumbledorf. Welcome to the Bone Zone

Sorcerer's Stone chapters 14-15. We mourn the loss of Pottermore's greatest thinkers before diving into some surprisingly disappointing chapters. There's a baby dragon and centaurs! How could JK screw that up!? After venting about the reading, we take a look at the internet's bonkers Harry Potter DIY scene.

Episode 6: Toilet Basilisk

Sorcerer's Stone chapters 16-17. One book down, six to go! And eight movies, and another series of movies, and some side books, and video games... okay, there's a lot left. Still, we finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and we have this extra long episode to prove it! Before we reminisce on the the final chapters and the book as a whole, though, we talk about Harry Potter: A History of Magic, a new documentary with a twist that shook us to our cores.

Episode 7: Chekov's Squirt Gun

Sorcerer's Stone film & video games. We read the first Harry Potter book, so naturally we had to see the movie! Play the video games! Buy the toys! Visit the theme park! (Not yet, but one day.) We examine the rogue's gallery of Sorcerer's Stone themed video games from 2001, then we discuss the film which is... fine? It's fine. It's completely fine. The director, however... he has some things to say, and so does Katie Couric in this time capsule episode.

Episode 8: Sloth Brain

Chamber of Secrets chapters 1 & 2. We've arrived! But before we indulge in our favorite house-elf, we have some housekeeping to do - namely, chatting about Hogwarts Mystery and the US premiere of Cursed Child. After we walk through the opening of the second book, we tackle our toughest assignment yet: answering random questions about Dobby from Reddit.

Episode 9: Indulgence

Chamber of Secrets chapters 3-4. We take a moment of silence to remember the fictional characters lost 20 years ago in a battle that didn't actually happen before discussing two chapters we actually really liked! Don't worry though, after all the positive feelings are out of the way we put on our thinking caps to design the "ultimate" Harry Potter video game.

Chamber of Secrets chapters 5-6. We have a mystery guest this week... and we still love Lockhart, but there's much more to discuss: flying cars, Hermione's role as a character, mean teachers, and graphology! Oh, and character heights. A lot of really, really specific stuff about character heights.

Then some crap happened in the actual book I guess.

Episode 15: Shack! The Musical

Chamber of Secrets chapters 15-16. It's nearly over, but our suffering isn't quite through yet. Harry meets a giant spider in a pointless chapter and then "solves" the mystery that Hermione worked so hard to investigate, and Ginny walked in on Percy cranking it or something. It's all a mess, but fear not: the Shrieking Shack is here to fix Hogwarts by designing an all-new house to replace Slytherin! Slurp??

Episode 16: The Ballad of Horatio Hurtwood

Chamber of Secrets chapters 17-18. We've done it! Our second book comes to a close, but we have lots to discuss, including: anagrams, phoenixes, and Harry's continued cluelessness until the bitter end. After our own plot discussion, we visit Pottermore's officially selected Book Club questions in an attempt to figure out what the hell is in the water there.

Episode 17: You Solved It!

Chamber of Secrets film & video games. We watched all three hours of the movie to let you know: Lockhart is still the best thing in this story! We discuss Hagrid's pickup scenes, 2002's CGI creature rankings, tiny swords, and way too many peas.

Episode 18: Too Many Peas

Prisoner of Azkaban chapters 1-2. It's season 3! And what better way to start a new book than going through a new Rowling tweetstorm. We're both excited and cautious about starting a new book - will Harry have a character this time? Will Dumbledore tell him any more bird facts? Only time will tell, but for now we'll make do with bonkers articles about Harry Potter from 1999.
