Sleepy Cat is a LA based producer in the underground House and Techno community, having performed at iconic venues such as Sound Nightclub, and sharing stages with notable artists like Sasha Robotti, Marques Wyatt and Manik. After a lengthy hiatus in which he explored the roots of Techno music, he has emerged with an energetic and distinctive sound which he is excited to share with the world with his first Techno EP garnering support by Richie Hawtin. This mix contains some unreleased tracks from Sleepy Cat along with releases by local LA techno artists Developer, Secus and Aztekan.

This week, we’re excited to feature VSK for our 221 edition of the Voxnox Podcast. 

VSK discovered his passion for electronic music early on, diving into DJing at just 16. His style ranges from hard, dark techno with industrial influences to deeper, more mental sounds, all uniquely his. Starting as a DJ in the Capital’s clubs and a two-season residency at Goa Club, VSK has built an impressive career. Co-founding the “Consumer Recreation Service” label in 2010, VSK has gained international acclaim. His collaborations with artists like Scalameriya and releases on labels such as New Rhythmics and Perc Trax highlight his versatility and talent.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ DAHRAXT

DAHRAXT is the techno project of the electronic music artist Alessandro Mannella ( formerly known as Mannella ).
Italian-born and Berlin-adopted, he expresses his multi-faceted talent producing music, DJing and performing live. Apart from being heavily influenced by the UK techno sound, DAHRAXT's musical narratives oscillate between industrial techno and distorted electro soundscapes, all the way to the more mental techno textures. Moving at a young age to Ibiza, he crafted his DJ mixing skills performing regularly at important venues like Space and throwing illegal parties around the island. Not long after, he moved to Berlin and immediately caught the attention of many, playing at the iconic Tresor basement and shaking the dancefloors of other major clubs such as About Blank, Arena and Suicide Circus, as well as hosting events at the former Griessmühle. Eventually, as one of the founders of the multidisciplinary event project ENIGMA, he brought a brand-new event concept at Tresor Club.
Besides Germany, DAHRAXT has made appearances at other influential venues across Europe such as Gare (Porto) and FOLD (London) among others. Touring overseas and taking part in the underground festival circuit, DAHRAXT has performed with the likes of Ancient Methods, Ben Klock, Detroit Techno Militia, Nene H, New Frames, Tommy Four Seven, Scan7, Sunil Sharpe and many more. 
His unmatched dexterity in bringing the crowd into his own visionary trip and the intensity of his DJ sets allowed him to also gain a residency at the techno party Vocoder in Mexico City (2018) and most recently at ARIA, London.
As a long-time vinyl collector and supporter, in 2015 DAHRAXT founded two record labels: “Jtseries”, (a techno dancefloor-oriented imprint) and “PicNic34” (having a more experimental direction). On those, he has collaborated with Blawan, Cristian Vogel, Charlton, Kucera, Santiago Salazar, Tobias, Vladislav Delay and VSK to name a few. With an arsenal of music ready to hit some of the most important music platforms out there, DAHRAXT’s ever mind-expanding DJ and studio experiments are bound to be experienced by many.

Not departing from that polymathic approach, his RYC mix, recorded at the PURE G event at FINAL Taipei on December 7, treats us to a storm of shape-shifting grooves and brutalist fractals of sound. Bio:
Étam, from Barcelona (Spain), was born in Santander but has lived like a globetrotter, spending time in cities like Belgrade, Oslo, Tarragona, and now residing in the Barcelona area. A humble lover of electronic music since childhood, he gradually found his way to deeper, darker techno, where he truly feels at home.
Étam is known for creating long mixes that highlight careful equalization, allowing the music to breathe and take listeners on a sonic journey. In 2022, he and his brother Jorge launched their own record label Loopaina Records, striving to carve out a place in the competitive techno scene, which is dominated by established artists’ labels.

Bio:
Materielle is a Los Angeles-based techno artist whose deep, dub-driven sound draws heavily from the rhythmic syncopations and atmospheric textures of 90s Detroit techno. Fusing elements of heavy, hypnotic basslines with intricate patterns and immersive reverb, Materielle’s music taps into the raw energy and experimental edge of underground techno, with an emphasis on subtle detail and emotional depth. 
A self-taught producer with a decade-long career in music technology, Materielle has cultivated a distinctive sonic palette shaped by the teachings of pioneering artists like Rødhåd, Claudio PRC, and Richie Hawtin. The project’s name, Materielle, is inspired by the delicate art of weaving—an analogy for the artist's approach to music, where sound is crafted through layers and textures, much like fabrics are woven together to create something new. 
Since 2019, Materielle has honed her craft as a DJ, transitioning seamlessly into production with her track singles, Satin and Organza on Delusional Records and the release of her debut EP, Fabrique on Northern Parallels. The EP, which features the tracks Nylon and Neoprene, with remixes from Mike Derer and Raytek, has garnered attention for its unique blend of hypnotic grooves and emotionally charged atmospherics. Materielle’s recent release, a remix of Orly Gal’s track, The Man Without a Face, was chosen by Beatport for their November 2024 Techno Shortlist (peak/driving), further solidifying her growing presence in the techno scene. In early 2025, she contributed the track Kevlar to the Synthetik Minds VA Compilation, a benefit release supporting Los Angeles fire relief efforts. The compilation features a lineup of major artists from across the global techno scene, underscoring Materielle’s commitment to both artistic collaboration and community impact. 
Through her work, Materielle invites listeners to immerse themselves in a world of intricate sound design, where the boundaries between space and rhythm blur, creating a meditative yet driving experience. With an approach rooted in both technology and art, Materielle continues to explore the intersection of sound, texture, and human emotion within the ever-evolving techno landscape. 
Materielle has played LA Compound, Re/Form, SXTCY, Bang Bang SD, Techno Taco Tuesday Las Vegas, and various LA undergrounds. She has supported Daria Kolosova, Ryan Elliott, Lindsey Herbert, Annika Wolfe, and Nur Jaber.
