Having spent 6 years hosting the UKG M1X Show on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and more recently the Essential Garage Show on Ministry of Sound Radio, UKG legend DJ Q needs no introduction. Party Like Us is proud to present a record that runs the gamut from classic bassline to modern, deep-house-tinged garage, updating those classic Northern England vibes to something more rooted in today’s clubs.

The title track “Sound Boy Connection” is a thick bassline roller imbued with Robbie Rue’s baritone ragga vocals. “Heaven” takes a more sublime approach, a blend of sweet female attitude and hands-in-the-air pianos, while “Wreck It” rattles the bass bin like wobbly thunder. Finally, “Oh Yeah,” Q’s collaboration with AC Slater, is a banging bouncer of a tune that transplants UKG directly into the heart of Los Angeles.

So, Habit's her song has been a major hit of the last year and has seen some interesting edits, but nothing in the dance genre. Habits is one of those unique blend of feelings, its gangster, sexy, relatable, and fun... In fact we aren't quite sure why its not on the same level as Lorde's Royals... So with that in mind, we set out to create a song that complimented the vocals and the subject of the song but brought it into the club arena. Yo so I'm finally 21 and I wanted to share this track with you. It's been sitting on my hard drive for a while, ever since the first EP was released in 2013, and I've been waiting for the right time to put it out. I have to thank Chris aka @Plastician for seeing something in me and taking a chance on me. He's been nothing but supportive and I will always be thankful for that.

I'm playing EDC in like 4 days and I can't imagine what my 15 year old self would think about this all. It's pretty tight and surreal and I'm stoked on it. Hope ur all hyped too. Lots of love!
