Pan-Am Tracks welcomes DVS NME & Krypton 81 for its latest physical release, a 2xLP collaboration between the Electro visionaries. This ambitious project pays homage to the legendary Das Muster, a pivotal figure in the Electro genre, and promises a sonic trip that resonates with fans of the genre.
Both artists set the tone with intricate rhythms and analogue warmth, embodying the meticulous craftsmanship, and Avant-guard characteristics of classic Electro. Pulsating basslines and shimmering synths intertwine, creating a vibrant, futuristic soundscape. This dynamic interplay between the two artists continues throughout the album, as DVS NME and Krypton 81 counterpoint each others explorations into the sound.

Less than one year after his 2019 release entitled ‘Trans Asia Express’, DVS NME returns with a collection of original tracks that were produced between 2018-2020. This 30-track album is a not-so-subtle nod to the Electro inspirations that have helped to influence the DVS NME sound that has developed over the course of the last 20 years. The most obvious influence is that of Detroit pioneers Drexciya and subsequent projects by Gerald Donald. The album pays homage to Dopplereffekt’s 1999 album ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’ in both its title and cover art. The release ranges from brooding, downtempo machine funk all the way to dancefloor-oriented melodic Electro. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 10 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear and more. Hi!

I have been a DJ for 20 years now and have hosted electronic dance events in Amsterdam, under the name Mechanism for 15 years of those as well. 

5 years ago I found an old and broken Juno 106 in my Dad's attic which led to me exploring my own sound more in depth and was the beginning of creating my own home studio, adding new gear along the way. I now produce electro and breaks under the name Aztronouth and downtempo funk obscurities under an alter-ego, Oortfunk. I am also part of Waveform Syndicate [Live] with Luus and Machinefunk.

With roots in hip hop, disco, Detroit techno and an overall love for funk, I believe I have managed to create my own style and sound.

My music has been released on CyberDomain, Connectome Records, Abstract Rhythm, Boomstraat1818, and Space is the place.
