Azure Mind - Releases

Serene is a third drum & bass track in order, i've ever created. It's perhaps made more for relaxing moments - "just sitting at home", than a floor banger for clubs. I started working this as a calm, maybe more ambient style of track, but again after few weeks production it turned faster and got more edge (something that is very typical for me :D). Any thought, criticism, comment, praise, anything is more than welcome! :)

I took a part in Tiesto's remix competition and here's my entry. Not sure how much this is trance and how much house, but let's say this is something between those two genres. Have a listen and drop a comment if you feel so :)

Tiesto - Take Me (Azure Mind Remix)

I have had this track on my hard drive for few weeks now and i finally made my decision to go for it and upload it here. I suppose it is now as ready as it can and will be. Fading Light resumes the same musical line as my other last Drum & Bass tracks. People digging trance and house type of music might also find something familiar from here. The track is heavily influenced by artists such as Metrik, Feint, Maduk and many more. It is made for moments just sitting at home without a hurry anywhere. Just grab a glass of wine or your favourite beer and sit down for a moment and chill out. Take a listen and feel free to drop a comment if you find something to say about the track. 

Fading Light

I suppose this is something that goes under the tag "Trance 2.0" (the term i truly hate ..well, ok, it's good to have a term that separates the trance from "trance"..heh). I find myself usually working on a track for few to several months, sometimes even for few years. This remix is something very much opposite, because it took like one week for the main idea and structure, and second week for tweaking&selecting the sounds and overall mixing..thought i returned it to competition still just few hours before the deadline :D ..If you're into modern trance / house sound, you don't scare over 1 minute breakdown and you're looking something that makes a smile on your face - this might be it :)

BT Feat. Christian Burns - Paralyzed (Azure Mind Remix)

Here's something i've started to work almost two years ago. First started, got it allmost finished, got bored, started again, made it completely different, got bored, structured it again, got bored, continued again, left it to hard drive for few months, got frustrated, re-worked and finally published here. Sound familiar? :) ..This time i'll break your ears with a bit older style, uplifting and faster trance. I wanted to make a track that represents the music of that time when i got interested of electronic dance music and started producing it in a first place. So this is a journey of a decade back in time..

It's only 136bpm, coz im too afraid of 138 :)

Azure Mind - Deafen

Here's my attempt in Holly Drummond's remix competition of her track Fade. I lifted original track up by 30 bpm, to a "pop-alike" liquid drum & bass. I wanted to keep the tranquil feeling of the original track, but also give it a nice punch. Thanks to Holly for giving this opportunity and of course i hope you guys like this ;) ..Happy 2015 to all of you!

It was a saturday night in january. I was alone in home and took few beers while messing around with my DAW. I found remix pack of this track and started to mess around with the vocal and guitar line of it. It wasn't a long after i noticed it was getting a form and own unique fresh angle. After few weeks of mixing and tweaking - here it is. Pop material warning! listen at your own risk ;)

Starling Glow - Ignite (Azure Mind Liquid Drum & Bass Remix)

Here's four and a half minutes of summer and light. Close your eyes and travel somewhere far where it's warm and sunny. I found pieces of David's song Flower and i instantly got idea to turn the track to summery Drum & Bass tune.  Hope i did honor to original track and i hope i can deliver even a little bit sun and ligth to your life ;) - oh, btw. It's free for download, cheers!

David Francisco - Flower (Azure Mind Remix) - FREE DOWNLOAD

This is my remix of fantastic trance tune 'Eternal Flame' by Frozen Skies. It's the first track i heard Rebecca Louise Burch in vocals, but i just have to love her beautiful voice :) ..  I first meant to make this remix for the competition, but i couldn't manage to finish it before the deadline. The competition itself wasn't the thing here, so i took a good time to finish it. 

If you're into pumping and energetic uplifting trance, you really need to check this out. I wanted to make this remix very intensive and energetic, to make people go crazy on the floor. As usual to my style, i didn't forget the emotional side too. Saws, cellos, strings, piano - wrapped into rolling, murderous beats.

Hello guys! Here's a brand new bootleg of one of the greatest trance tunes in this decade. I felt in love to this song right away it was published. Since Above & Beyond have been remarkably inspiring trance act for me, i felt very long i want to try to create something out of their tunes. I inadvertently found the studio acapella of this song and it was only seconds i was already working on this bootleg. When i do release music, i don't do it every year. Here it is, after 8 years of waiting - my second official single release 'Free Rider'. This track was actually intended to be a free release at first, but after few labels show their interest, i thought why not. Between the trance productions is always refreshing to make something very different. Drum'n'Bass music has earned a special place in my heart and i love also very much producing it. This is a remix i actually made almost entirely last weekend. I just made few tweaks and listened it from many sound setups during past week. Well, producing music doesn't always need to be that hard. Sometimes, those very rare moments, we have a privilege to just go with the flow and let the track writes itself  ;) ..If you don't get a rash from little bit more popish material, please do me a favour and take a listen!

Another Day as a Gamemaster (Azure Mind 2016 Uplifting Mashup)

I've been a huge fan of Super8 & Tab's music for over 10 years and the duo has sure made a big impact also to my music. So there's no secret i was super excited when i saw this remix competition open. While i'm big fan of trance music i like to listen and produce drum'n'bass too. So i felt i would like to give this tune a bit different touch and this is what came out, take a listen! :)

Azure Mind is Janne Martikainen, 29 years old electronic music producer from Finland, Joensuu. Janne got interested of electronic music and started producing it around years 2002-2003. Azure Mind project is not focused in specific style or genre, but strong, vivid and catchy melodies over a driving beats are very characteristic to this artist. Trance has always been the main thing, but don't be surprised to hear House, Drum & Bass, Chill out, Breakbeat or other electronic dance music under this Soundcloud page.
