We're all familiar with that feeling of desperation, when we give it our all, maybe for years or even decades, but there's no sign of things ever working out. It could be anything from trying to make a relationship work, getting that elusive A on a paper, working endlessly for a promotion, or pursuing a goal of any other kind. The song is about the three-feet-from-gold moment, when you're torn between giving up and continuing to persist, and the intention is for it to be a reminder to persevere. The song blends genres, combining synthy sounds with rock guitars and drums. It starts off with a space-y feel and then progresses into a gritty vibe, symbolizing resilience and perseverance.
