I’m so deeply grateful and humbled after sharing this Ecstatic Wave with such a vibrant and soulful community. Thank you for opening your bodies, hearts and souls to the music — it was a true honor to guide you into this experience.  

This set was especially meaningful to me because I’ve been longing to play for such a beautiful community, at the magical & enchanted forest of Sintra, where the spirit of dance and authentic expression flows so inspiringly.

Northern Sky is a Detroit/London-based collaborative formed in 2021, crafting ethereal music that blends dreamy soundscapes with cinematic depth. Their music strikes a delicate balance between melody, emotion, and magic, influenced by timeless artists like Nick Drake and Norah Jones, as well as modern acts such as Beach House and The National.

At the heart of Northern Sky is Rose White, whose voice, like a soft breeze at twilight, guides the band’s sound with transcendent beauty. Supported by Eric Stajda, Dan Kendall, Steve Baker, and Andrea Di Fiore—who weave intricate layers of guitar, bass, drums, piano, synth, cello, and violin—the band creates soundscapes that are both fragile and infinite.

Northern Sky’s songs are vignettes, like postcards from distant places, carrying echoes of fleeting yet eternal memories. Tracks like "Paper Flowers," "Swimming in the Rain," and "Aurora" explore love, loss, and the bittersweet passage of time. Their music reflects the profound beauty found in life’s quietest moments, drawing inspiration from films that capture the magic in the everyday—Cinema Paradiso, Stolen Kisses, Sleepless Night in Paris, and Before Sunrise.

B-File (Bernardo Rodrigues) has always been captivated by the power and energy of electronic music, with a special affinity for Psytrance. In 2019, he embarked on a transformative journey through the discovery of Ecstatic Dance—a profound practice that harnesses the magic of conscious movement to evoke trance-like states, pure & authentic ecstasy, and deep emotional release and expansion.  

This awakening reshaped his musical expression, infusing his sets with a vibrant, organic essence. Crafting immersive soundscapes that blend diverse genres, constantly anchored by deep, resonant basslines and uplifting grooves, each journey is an invitation to surrender to the rhythm, embrace the unexpected, and expand through the boundless possibilities of sound.
