Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2022

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023

Two different tracks set the tone for the rest of the rest of the Madorasindahouse summer: 

Salee’ and At Least We Are Under The Same Moon are two beautiful masterpieces, each of their own accord. 
Salee’ by Korrila, Non Grata(GR) and P.Y.K. , is a collaboration of Greeks, as Korrila and Non Grata(GR) are two new talents on the production side, while PYK have been making waves on the Greek rap scene for a few years now. With Salee, they bring an innovative fusion of sounds that will make any clubber go wild. 

At Least We Are Under The Same Moon is a collaboration between David Mackay who we recently met with “Carnaval Breve” and Raul Vidal, one of the up-and-coming Spanish talents in the scene. With At Least We Are Under The Same Moon they create a beautiful, cinematic, and driving soundscape that will make your heart melt.

Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT - Burning Man 2019

It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?
