Todd Edwards is the reason I first got into garage music back in the mid to late 90s. I heard his track Never Far From You on EZ’s Freek FM show and was totally hooked. I’ve always wanted to make a tribute mix of his music, but I wanted to do it a little differently. This mix is a collection of all of my favourite sections of his tracks. Breakdowns feature heavily because in my opinion, they are the best part.

For anybody who is not familiar with Todd’s music, think of his tracks as a vocal collage. He employs vocal reconstruction techniques to create melodies using vocal samples. The results are hypnotic and uniquely soulful.
