At long last, German black metal tyrants ASCENSION unveil their highly anticipated second album, The Dead of the World. Previewed by the Deathless Light EP, ASCENSION's The Dead of the World is a grandiose work of bold creativity and boundless imagination, of brilliant illumination and obsidian depth, all under the banner of orthodox black metal. The band's debut album, 2010's Consolamentum, became a classic in the underground not long after its release; it evinced a wealth of maturity in composition and execution for such a new band. Here, the quintet eclipse that accomplishment with a seven-song salvo that's the epitome of Album Experience. Every part is where it needs to be; every song flows from the other; there is a whole, and it is a black HOLE. From its innermost depths, ASCENSION drive onward and outward, their control of dynamics startling for mere "black metal," their passion, fervor, and professionalism far beyond those who supposedly uphold that genre. Joining ASCENSION in their peerless endeavor here are The Magus (Necromantia, Thou Art Lord, Principality of Hell) and Mors Dalos Ra (Necros Christos), who both respectively provide guest vocals on The Dead of the World. With timeless devotion to the Satanic arts, W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS raises a new chalice from which many will soon find sustenance: KVLTIST's debut album, Catechesis. Hailing from Germany, which has a deep-seated history of black metal, KVLTIST create coruscating hymns of obsidian strength and boundless occult energy. Across Catechesis, the duo weave 'n' wend the listener down myriad corridors, be they spiritual, mental, physical, or otherwise; their potency is writ large across the surging, heavy mass of gnarled (and gnarling) frequencies. Orthodox black metal Catechesis may be, but KVLTIST are sonic alchemists, tempering their enrapturing potions with startling dynamics, high drama, and haunting melody like true adepts despite their novice years as a band. The song titles themselves - from "The Devil's Catechumen" and "Darkest Light From Glaring Shadows" to "Eucharisty of Death Divine" and "Oblation" - evince the same timeless devotion to the Satanic arts on which W.T.C. has made its formidable name, and with Catechesis as the latest acrid sacrament to offer a starving congregation, KVLTIST are set to lead the flock to liberation and illumination.

Biography
KVLTIST was formed in early 2013 as the manifestation of a vision carried along by MZI since almost a decade before: to create black metal which is rooted deep in its devil-worshipping traditions yet contemporary in its feverish, multi-layered expression. The writing and immediate recording for the first opus began in December 2013. Shortly after, Amon Xul joined KVLTIST as permanent main vocalist. In September 2015, the work finally was complete and the utterly adversarial sonic incarnation called Catechesis was fully materialized: a swathing, ecstatic, and filthy Black Metal Liturgy of utter Luciferian devotion and worship was dragged from the Abyss, accompanied by guest vocalists such as Hellchrist Xul of Funeral Winds and Necrosodom of Azarath / Deus Mortem and organically mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony.
