The 11th episode of "Sound of BOCTOK" is hosted by DJ and promoter @jewishmason from Donetsk, now based in Berlin. Also, Jewishmason created his own label @anklav-is, which helps to develop electronic music in Ukraine and cover the theme of war in the world. Direct quote from the musician: "In this mix I combined two of my favorite directions of techno music: Hypnotic and Detroit techno. The melody of the tracks eventually grows into powerful atonal grooves and the atmosphere is constantly layered and transformed." So we are waiting for everyone at the broadcast! The 13th episode of "Sound of BOCTOK" will start this Sunday at 10 pm СET, hosted by @ochi_ua resident @postal-fak from Lysychansk. Direct quote from the musician: “All my life I was surrounded by factories and mines, most of which have been abandoned or destroyed, but this post-apocalyptic industrial atmosphere stuck in my head like a rusty nail. The idea of doing noise art came to me quite organically. I wanted to convey the feeling of abandonment around me, and the noise format was perfect for me as a method of communication without words. The mix is composed of various field recordings, my own tracks, and various sounds that remind me of home and the distance from it. I can call myself an "artist" in the broadest sense of the word. I am the founder and curator of the "Gareleya Neotodryosh" project. I work with digital and analog photography, archival materials, and mixed media. I am also a resident of the OCHI label“. The mix itself consists of the real sounds of Donbas, which are so close to the heart of every resident of eastern Ukraine. So we look forward to seeing everyone on the air! The next 14th episode of "Sound of BOCTOK" will start this Sunday at 10 pm СET, hosted by @prizma_dn co-founder and @lkd_dragon co-runner @adsldn from Donetsk. 

Direct quote from the musician: “Hello, World. The purpose of this mix is to immerse you in the audio-memoirs of a Donbas resident. Only through sudden flashes of emotion during the endless chaotic scroll of its past can one feel the pain of loss and the hope for a brighter future, which is fading rapidly in the conditions of an ongoing war. For many residents of Ukraine, particularly those in Donbas, in fact, nothing more is left in this life - close connections, material aspects, and the very path home have been erased by war. In such a situation, all that remains for a person is to increasingly immerse themselves in the abyss of nostalgia for bygone times and people, whether sitting under occupation, forced into emigration, or in the trenches on the front line. At times, it seems to me that only through music can one peer into the soul of a person, but the right to decide whether this is true or not in this case, I leave to you“.
