The spark long gone, a noise within.
Famous fire turned cold and thin,
The night folds in, he drinks again.

Half-life ghost with a paper crown,
Eyes still burn as the lights go down.
Ambition’s wreck, the stage long dead,
Funeral choirs sing in his head.
Crowds still cry for the life he shed,
He mouths their words, but nothing’s said.

Rust and steam in the afterglow,
The monster grins where the lost things go.
Behind the bars, the fire’s low —
Muse or memory, no one knows.
Applause falls hard on the radio,
And the night won’t let him go.

a song about home in times of chaos. recorded entirely on a roland sp404mk2 sampler with a little assistance from a tascam model 12. keys plyed on a nord electro and a sequential take 5, drums played on a yamaha fingerdrum pad guitar is a strat played through a tech 21 tri ac sansamp and vocals recorded with a shure sm58 mic.
