RUNECHILL020: Static Guru — A Drop Of Hope — is a fresh release from Static Guru duo on RUNE CHILL Recordings.

With the arrival of spring, love and creative energy are literally in the air. We are open to change, and our hopes are raised for the better. Inspired by these motives a brand new Static Guru single "A Drop Of Hope" was created and supported by remixes of One Arc Degree and Sean McClellan.

Three tracks on the release will take you on a dynamic journey through styles from downtempo to progressive breaks, but one thing remains static — a broken rhythm. Enjoy and pass the vibe around!

Are there quantum predators? Those who are biting quantums of reality off our consciousness? For example, piranhas. After all, during the quantum transition of the river of consciousness from one state to another, we can find anything in these waters. Along with the mysteries of the existence of parallel worlds and time travels, quantum physics yet cannot answer these questions of the multivariance of being. Be cautious. Here is my latest mix. As always, this was done live using 2 Technics 1210's, Controller Vinyl, Serato,  Novation Dicers, Macbook Pro and a Rane TTM56 Mixer. The shoutouts were added later in Soundforge.

I do these mixes like this because I am bored of hearing studio tight mixes where the DJ doesn't actually do any work. You know the DJ's that time all their tracks up so they don't have to worry on the night! Or they use Ableton and just drop and play. This is me fighting the analogueness of the Technic Turntables, that classic drag and push vibe!

This mix contains tracks that we either wrote, remixed or released on our labels. A good few bootlegs on here too as I never seemed to play them and I quite like them now!

Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton has had an extensive career spanning over 20 years. Starting off as a musician and being a band member with Thom Yorke before moving onto his own outfit called Lunatic Calm which had quite a successful career and a few number one tunes including "Rollercoaster". Simon has also worked with a bunch of top acts, remixed, wrote movie soundtracks, toured and was one to watch in the Nuskool Breaks scene. He then developed the Tech Funk genre in the late 2000's included with such artists as Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes to name a few. Nowadays Simon plays marathon 6 hour LIVE sets in his "One Series" and has moved into the world of professional photography.

I haven't made a breaks set for half a decade but here we have many new & old break tunes that easily fit into the golden era of 2002 - 2008.  

It's Rave, Pool side, Pub side, House (maybe the garage), in the Car, where ever you need it to be, bouncing breaks for the headstrong. You can ease into it but it will be blinding towards the end - just a headz up :) - If you get to the end (respect!!)

Simon has also worked with a bunch of top musical acts, remixed, wrote movie soundtracks, toured and was one to watch in the Nuskool Breaks scene. He then developed the Tech Funk genre in the late 2000's included with such artists as Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes to name a few. This mix was recorded for Annie Nightingale and her breakbeat show at the time known as Annie On One, One referring to the radio station BBC Radio 1.
