Following his debut EP, "Dreamhouse" which has ammased over 10MM streams since its September 2016 release, DENM brings you “Hey Ya" his own rendition of OutKast’s 2003 smash hit.

At first you may not know what you’re getting into if you’re going by sound alone without looking at the title — Lonesome and almost sombre-sounding piano keys ease you into the track, until DENM kicks into the first line singing “my baby don’t mess around/ because she loves me so/ this I know fo sho.” His vocals have a slight echoing layered effect that gives the track an almost haunting and moody vibe, which really shines once he first hits the chorus around the 1 minute mark as he sings the familiar line, “hey ya, hey ya.” 

DENM puts a hypnotic, light and sparkling twist on the song which fits the feel of his version beautifully. Things start switching up towards the 3:00 mark with distorted vocals and a more uplifting, playful feel to end things on. It’s a fresh and unexpected take on the hit song, and is certainly the perfect addition to your latest chill-out playlist.
