Blush aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"For this mix, I wanted to use some of the downtempo and ambient tunes that I love and usually don’t get to play out. Like most people, I use downtempo music to focus; for work, reading or relaxation, so I wanted to put something together that moves through different energies and textures and showcases some of the lighter music that I like. Did I also mix PLO Man into Madonna? Yes, yes I did 💅🏼"

Sourcing influences from 90s Tech, house, trance and breaks Aiden Francis' pure passion for underground electronic music radiates through his music and DJ sets. Effortlessly drifting between different sounds and aesthetics, Aiden has managed to break himself free from the constraints of genre so that his true creative prowess can be flexed in full. 

The lack of constraint overflows into Aiden's DJ sets, providing highly energetic experiences that flows through a unity of sounds, cultures and voices. This varied approach to DJing has found Aiden's name appear on high-quality events across the UK and Europe.

Amidst the flashing lights and chaos of the queer rave scene, there is a deep desire that unites us all, the longing to connect and be part of a community. Beyond the electrifying energy of the dance floor, it is important to nourish these connections and dissolve barriers. Blush offers a sanctuary for relaxation and mindfulness, providing spaces to dive into, where we can embrace the beauty of diversity, cherish our individuality, cultivate connections and bask in the warmth of a community while nurturing our wellbeing.
