when @imyetep sent me a batch of demos in September and asked if I wanted to work on one, this song jumped out immediately. the lyrics and melody were insanely catchy and 48 hours later, the song was done.

Yetep held onto the demo for 5 months prior to asking, and once we finished this version together we had to go check in with Brooke Daye and the two other writers (@musicbyzacky & @itsjoeypepe) to see if they liked the song as much as we did.

very thankful to have been allowed to work on this song with everyone involved and have it be part of this project. hope you enjoy & thank you for listening

Vincent & Yetep ~ Same Page (feat. Brooke Daye)

sad alex came to record in my apartment and immediately had a chord progression in her head that ended up becoming the foundation for the song. We both sat and talked to learn about each other and found out we had many shared experiences in life - one being worried about someone you can't care for any longer.

As she wrote on the feeling and I kept producing and after recording the session was over. We both wanted to make something extremely close to home while also having enough energy to cry and dance at the same time. I tried a few separate ideas and eventually felt lost in the production because the right idea hadn't come within the first, second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth try. Over a month after recording, the final sound came through and completed the song.

This song is very personal to both of us because even though it speaks volume in production, the lyrics are real emotions we've both experienced in different capacities. sad alex is also one of the most talented musicians I've had the pleasure to work with and made me step up a lot of the time to try and keep up with how well she works. Her writing is impeccable and her ear is unmatched.

Thank you for working on this song together - as I'm listening again I'm brought back to the session and even the moments and emotion in my life that the song is written about.

When I started making music under my old alias (XVII), the music I released was a lot more aggressive and simplistic. The goal for me was to make tracks with energy. During the time I changed to Vincent I was also shifting my focus into songs that could live longer than the simple drops - my discography over the last few years is a fairly clear indicator.

I reminisce over those years where the biggest tracks in my eyes weren't pop oriented dance tracks but edits or flips by the artists I idolized - thrown on SoundCloud seemingly on a whim. I hope the climate of electronic music pushes back into that territory.

For everyone that's been waiting for something heavy, this is my old sound attempted years after an unintentional hiatus from bangers.

This song came together between two sessions with Chris & Axel - both of them have really infectious energy. They’ve both taught me new techniques and perspectives looking at music altogether. The most notable was recording tons of vocals during the chorus - the three of us sang in multiple accents to make it sound like there were more people in the room chanting the lyrics.

We wrote for the sake of making music, not expecting anything other than having a good time together creating - I think the song gives that feeling throughout.

Our first release of the decade! 

When we first met Kyan a year ago we instantly clicked. In one of the first studio sessions we had with him we wrote Sleepwalking. It’s about the constant cycle of self-medication that commonly effects so many of us. The production itself is an ode to of one of our first songs as Win and Woo; a remix of Nico and Vinz - Am I Wrong, which really put us on the map at the beginning of our career. Hope you enjoy the first of many releases of 2020 for Win and Woo.
