Happy Mothers day <3

I was invited to play in Khulana event in The Hague in the Netherlands, and prepared a unique journey for them, as I usually do.

During the opening ceremony, I realized it was mother's days in the Netherlands, as both the ceremony and the warm up exercises were about motherhood and connection to the earth.

I felt called to bring these elements into the dance journey, so I changed the set I've prepared to include many more songs featuring motherly and feminine voices and themes. 

I also noticed that actually I already had many feminine songs in my original set.

I was touched by how playful and expressive people were, and the fact that the age range went from 5 to about 70.

I am grateful to Jade and Joshua for this special collaboration and all the beautiful moments we spent. Traveling so much isn't easy, but co-creating with such special people more than makes up for it.

Beam Me Up

Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga).

This week's raga comes from the oh! so beautiful Samaira Mazaari aka @anaammusic , Anām, born in Delhi - a city with heartbeats of 27 million people. As a little girl she would always drift away to the melodic essence of music, music that had soul. She was attracted to this essence of music and realised that her passion for it was the call for the path of journey in life she should take. I discovered her a couple of months back and was mesmerized by her sets and knew right then that I wanted her here & I am so glad that desire has materialized today <3.

Growing up she developed a hunger for music and started to dig deeper into more genres.
Even though she plays deep down tempo styles her interest in the beauty of Indian classical music can be seen imprinted in her DJ sets.

Her taste is some what spiritual bringing audiences closer together through vibration and frequency conveying a connection through Mind, Body & Soul.

Ecstatic Dance Live Set - July 2018

Green Gallery in Koh Phangan is a very chilled open-air place with a fire pit where you sit at tables or on mattresses on the ground and there’s often live organic world music.

Michal, one of the owners, asked me to play whatever I felt like at her birthday celebration.

Some highlights of this journey:

World Music Journey - Live @Green Gallery Koh PhaNgan 17.July.2020

BabaRah is a Shamanic Musician / DJ / Producer / Dancer  - Based at the moment in the magical mountains of Norway.

BabaRah (Alex) is a world traveler and explorer both internally and externally. 
He has visited the temples of India, meditated and chanted in the mountains of Himalayas and swam in the Ganga river. He has played flute with the spirits of the Andes, walked the jungle and drank the secret brew of the Amazon.
He has met the high Voodou priests of Africa and danced with the divinities in pure trance.
Of course, his inherited Northen Shamanic roots are always present. 
He also lived and breathed Ibiza for some years and fully emerged with the beautiful Ibiza Soul and magnetic energy of Es Vedra.

This is just a few of the journeys he has made on this planet so far and there are still many more places to go, both in body and soul.
In every set and performance, the spirits guides him, the listeners and dancers through many worlds and dimensions with the music and profound knowledge and wisdom of Life and Creation.

It is clear that Alex is on a mission in this life to raise the consciousness and vibration of our planet Earth and the human collective as a whole. 
He takes the soul of Electronic World Music to new heights and levels!
