Happy early Halloween! This song has a somewhat spooky sound to it that made sense for the holidays. I actually made this song around a year ago as part of a “beatdown” competition at my university where we take predetermined samples and try to make a song with them. Hope you all like it!

Alexi Shell is an hybrid artist swimming between music, clothing design and performance. Where her music swings between bewitching softness and violence, she delivers DJsets that navigate between heavy bass and incantatory club melodies. Her first EP I wish i was a mermaid is about transformation, love and bewitching creatures. As the atmosphere of the world becomes chaotic, where we try to make love survive, the need to escape from reality and dive into another world becomes obvious. A meditative and festive universe, an escape is told to us. The five tracks that make up this EP tell a thirty-minute story, soft and violent at the same time, make us travelling in this passage between a violent, hardcore world and a peaceful world where love and mermaids reign.
