Montana's colourful DJ bio consists of residencies in some of London's most iconic venues such as '93 Feet East', 'The Magic Roundabout', 'Cargo', 'Fabric'  and 'The Brickhouse'. He's played dj sets in festivals around the UK, Greece and Spain, headlined day & night parties throughout a number of European countries & South America and has shared turntable duties alongside artists such as Andrew Weatherall, Tiefschwarz (Souvenir), Troy Pierce (M_nus), Enzo Siragusa (Fuse), System of Survival (Circoloco), Anthea (Brouqade), Miss Jools (Mobilee), GummiHz and Vera (Perlon) and Alex Celler (Trelik) cementing along the way his reputation as a quality selector. Add 'Definiti[ON]' to the mix, an underground extemporaneous label he formed in 2010 and has consistently made waves on the club scene and with Montana you get a selector whose ears & fingers stay firmly on the pulse. Definiti[ON] have thrown parties in Ibiza, Athens, Amsterdam, Vilnius and Prague, spreading their sound wide & far around Europe whilst gaining a solid reputation as a forward thinking music party. Montana's a devoted record spinner and continues his music journey staying focused in his aim of sharing quality sounds & beats.

Fantastic, eclectic, hysterical euphoria, like so many synthetic sounds, the sound of MËka, makes us schizophrenic.

What a suitable title for Seb Dhajje’s excellent Tetsuko, "thought of the day", which sums up Seb’s approach to music and to his label. A thinking man’s producer and up-and-coming musical talent with fingers in progressive and deep-house flavour pies, Seb is picking up support with Tetsuko from Hernan Catteano, Laurent Garnier, CID Inc and the man himself Sasha amongst many others. The label’s second release features fellow Frenchman MËka, a seasoned DJ from the South of France stepping up with his production debut here with an original track so atmospheric it could make mars habitable. A coming together of styles with progressive, tech-house and probably many other ambient or down-tempo influences this is a mature approach to house music, both quirky and usable, brimming with feeling, like the sensation of golden sand underfoot on fresh summer's morning or the nostalgic recollection of a memory from yesteryear.

 

Seb Dhajje’s remix is classic progressive house as it should be; big-sounding, wonderfully produced and dripping with the production values many top producers only aspire to achieve. The pads and arpeggios have been used to maximum effect with a searing horn style lead and a rolling bassline to pin it all together; it’s deep and driving in a powerful way. 

Just a Mecha proves that MËka certainly has a sound, quirky, glitchy, atmospheric deep-house, something you might expect to find on a James Holden mix-tape and wonder what the hell it was. Delicate riffs soundclash into hard analogue noises, overlaid with already hall-mark lush pads and squelchy bass – unique enough sounding to be noticed and danceable enough to play in a club. Tetsuko have landed in exactly the right place, a label that’s going places, one of the best releases this month.

 

 

Quel titre très approprié à l’excellent label TETSUKO de Seb Dhajje, la pensée du jour, qui résume bien l’approche de la music et son label. Un producteur réfléchit et un talent musical aux touches progressives et aux doux parfums deep house, Seb et Tetsuko récolte le soutien de Hernan Catteano, Laurent Garnier, Inc CID et le maitre en personne Sasha parmi beaucoup d'autres. La 2eme production du label présente un français, MËka, un DJ expérimenté du Sud de la France qui monte d’un cran grâce à cette 1ere production, avec un titre original tellement atmosphérique qu’il pourrait rendre Mars habitable.Un mélange de styles avec de la progressive, tech-house et probablement de nombreuses autres influences ambiantes et down-tempo, il s'agit d'une approche évoluée (mature) de la house music, à la fois excentrique et utilisables, débordant de sentiments, comme la sensation de marcher pieds nus dans le sable doré un beau matin d’été ou le souvenir nostalgique de la mémoire des années passées.

 

Seb Dhajje remix, est classic progressif house comme il doit être ; gros son, magnifiquement produit et ruisselant de valeurs que de nombreux grands producteurs rêvent d’atteindre.

Les tampons et les arpèges ont été utilisées pour un effet maximum avec une avancé aiguë torride et un roulement de la ligne de basse pour les accrocher ensemble ; c'est profond et transporte de manière puissante.

 

Just a mecha prouves que Meka a certainement un son à part, original, étincelant, l'atmosphère deep-house, quelque chose que l’on pourrait s’attendre à trouver sur un mix de James Holden et se demander « mais qu’est-ce que c’est que ce truc ? ».élicat de "riffs soundclash" analogiques, recouvert d'une marque déjà estampillée luxuriante et des basses "squelchyTetsuko a atterri à l'endroit exact, un label qui voyage, l'une des meilleures sorties de ce mois-ci." suffisamment unique pour être remarqué et assez dansant pour être jouer en club.
