I have been writing music since I was twelve years old. I starting out playing my Grandmother's guitar she gave me. Music has always been a passion of mine. For example when I was 3 or 4 years old I had imaginary friends who were in a band. I guess that is why I started playing guitar. I was introduced to electronic music around 1996 by my older sister. I was so fascinated with the infinite amount of possibilities that you can do with the sounds. I became "Hooked" on synthesis from there on. I would buy any type of keyboards, synths, or anything that made a noise. The rest is all history.

After getting a start playing raves and warehouse parties in the early 2000's under the name DJ Charisma, Jason landed a 5 residency at one of Portland's busiest clubs (McFadden's), and a 2 year residency at Club Zoo in Vancouver, focusing mainly on popular rap and top-40. After developing a following there, he branched out to other popular venue's in the area, playing many genre's, but mostly focusing on hip-hop, mash-ups, and house. Jason has played, literally, every club in Portland, most clubs in San Francisco, and had gigs in Toronto, Vancouver, Bangkok, Phuket, and spots all over USA, headlining, and opening for big name dj's such as Kaskade, Mark Farina, JT Donaldson, Lance Desardi, Marques Wyatt, Rithma,  and many others. Jason was also instrumental in bringing many big name artists to Portland with his monthly party, aptly named "Charisma". After a relocation to San Francisco in 2012, Jason is back on the upswing, bringing his electro-funk sound to SF and beyond. Look for many more events of all kinds in 2016 from Dj Charisma.
