Atlanta's hip-hop scene just got hotter with the premiere of Drako's new track "Racks On Me" featuring Lil Baby.  Drako, first emerged onto the Atlanta hip-hop scene with his debut single "Watch Me Do It".  After the Daps (Migos) directed video premiered, the track took off on Atlanta's V-103 and Streets 94.5 FM and gained exposure on a national level.  The song also made its mark on the Atlanta club scene, charting at #2 behind "Bodak Yellow" on Atlanta's Coalition DJs club charts, while receiving national mixshow airplay.  Drako's follow-up single, "Boss" featuring Yung Bans, was a massive viral hit, accumulating over a million streams within five days of its release.  Similarly, Lil Baby's trajectory has propelled him to become one of the most recognizable young artists in ATL. Lil Baby exploded on the scene with "Yes Indeed" featuring Drake and the single "My Dawg," which tracks landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Drako x Moneybagg Yo - Count It Up

Curren$y reconnects with Jet Life crew members Trademark Da Skydiver, and Young Roddy to take over the rap game on the new 206derek-produced single, "Plan of Attack."  With co-production by B-Eazy the DJ and SethFromAbove, "Plan of Attack" has been years in the making and marks the first collaboration from all three core members of the Jets in close to five years. Fans of the crew have been quite vocal on social media about wanting to see these three reunite, and now the three New Orleans legends are giving their audience exactly what they've demanded.

Hip-Hop lovers and critics alike agree that Curren$y’s Jet Life crew consists of the most beloved paper plane pilots in the game, with Pitchfork saying, “Rap is predicated on the idea of who you want to get high with and right now, the Jets run that lane.”  The crew continues to solidify its legacy on "Plan of Attack" and it's just a sample of what's in store for Curren$y, Trademark and Roddy in 2019. After releasing the viral single “See What I See” and captivating crowds at this year’s SXSW Takeover, Atlanta-based artist Mercy returns with an imaginative visual for “Only On Go.”  Directed by Cricket, "Only On Go" captures Mercy in his element as he maneuvers from the trap to the club and finesses over the Majairus Roe-produced beat.

Mercy is among the latest signees of the prominent New York-based indie Babygrande Records.  Although he was raised in Mississippi, Mercy moved to Atlanta following turbulence at home during his teenage years and after being offered a photo shoot at the boutique streetwear store Wish ATL.  Soon thereafter, Mercy started making music and caught the attention of legendary promoter J Wise, who ran the renowned Playlist Party at the Department Store venue in Atlanta. The Department Store served as a hotbed for emerging talent in the city. According to HighSnobiety, the venue was "Atlanta’s most pivotal stomping grounds for young burgeoning talent," and it was also ranked as a top ten spot in the city by The Source. “21 Savage, Kodie Shane, Sonny Digital, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Nudy J.I.D, Playboi Carti and many other artist that are prominent today were regular performers. It was special time,” says J Wise.

Roughly a year after meeting Mercy, J Wise connected with Babygrande Records founder Chuck Wilson and asked him to attend Diana Schweinbeck’s open mic competition where Mercy was performing. Mercy tied for first place and then won the tie-breaking performance to take home the trophy for first place. “I was very impressed with his performance and his composure on stage. There were a lot of great artists competing and he took over the room.  He’s ready and we are ecstatic to welcome him to the team,” says Wilson.   

Mercy released his first single and video with Babygrande in March ("See What I See") and continued his streak of outstanding live performances at the SXSW Takeover where he shared the stage with Lil Mosey, Young Nudy, Carnage, Calboy 147, Lil Gotit, Drako and more. His new single, "Only On Go," is currently available worldwide via Babygrande Records.

Today, Babygrande Records is proud to announce its latest signing, San Antonio, TX native Cap Gold.  At just 20 years-old, Cap Gold has amassed an impressive following on the Texas underground scene and has already begun proving himself on national level. Rapping through his signature gold grills, Cap first emerged with his 2018 single “HighClass Fever,” which picked up momentum at the beginning of this year, thanks in part to a viral music video, which was also featured on the eighth-annual A3C Festival compilation series, A3C Volume 8. Most recently Cap had a show-stealing performance at the 11th annual SXSW Takeover, where he shared the stage with DaBaby, J.I.D., Flipp Dinero, Reason, Lucki and Thutmose, among others.

In conjunction with the announcement of Cap Gold’s signing to the distinguished New York based indie Babygrande Records, the Texas artist is also releasing his first single with the label entitled “All In.”  This track showcases Cap Gold’s range, as he melodically soars over the smooth guitar based instrumental provided by producers Nashi and Seph.  “All In” premiered today via HipHopDx. Together, Cap Gold and Babygrande will release several more tracks and music videos throughout 2019.
