I ADORE this fic it features modern AU where Ed is a former pro-skateboarder, lots of early 00’s nostalgia! It’s quite long fic so I’ve split it into parts, this first part is the backstory to Ed (we don’t see Stede in this part but don’t worry he’ll be along in the next!)

Stede Bonnet went to the Wawa for a snack, and boy howdy did he find one.

"Now, you're going to click on the picture of the sandwich," Ed murmured into Stede's ear.

"But it's a cold sandwich, Ed! I want a hot hoagie," Stede said petulantly.

"You're gonna get it hot later. You can be patient for me while we look at the options, can't you?" Ed's voice was honeyed, like one of the several varieties of turkey choices on the screen.

Stede goes to the circus!

Ed slid down the crows nest and landed in the ring and Stede got a better view of Ed’s ensemble. A mesh corset under a one-armed, long, tailed, leather Ring Leader’s jacket. Leather hot pants that showed off toned, fishnet clad thighs paired, with knee-high leather boots. Someone threw him a top hat, another person tossed him a whip and Ed caught them both with aplomb.

The stage was swarmed with performers - jugglers, acrobats, a convoy of clown cars. A trio of sword-swallowers entered atop an elephant, and Ed scaled it to join them, and… oh wow. So apparently Ed didn’t have a gag reflex. Good to know.
