As one half of British electronic duo SpectraSoul, David Kennett helped shape a signature sound within drum & bass, releasing three albums and touring globally for over a decade. Now launching his solo chapter as Nixxy Rain, he brings a more instinctive, personal take on the genre that's grounded in deep musicality and liquid foundations. His new music spans both solo releases via Nixxy Rain Music and collaborations with key labels across the scene.

I found pirate radio when I was 14 in 1988. I used to listen to Fantasy, Chillin and Pulse, then in 1992 I discovered Kool FM.  Kool first broadcast on 28th November 1991 on the frequency of 94.5FM, from Hackney London. 

There was something about Kool that seemed different, it was more organised, more professional. This explains why they remained at the top of jungle drum n bass pirate radio for all these years.

I quickly became addicted to recording the shows, they were happening live there and then and I just knew I needed to record. Back then I didn’t know how big Kool would become or how many thousands of recordings I would end up with.

R3IDY is a rising Artist in drum and bass, Situated in Burton-on-Trent, UK. Blending stripped-back minimalism with gritty rollers, his sound sits deep in the underground while pushing fresh boundaries. With standout releases like the Deepest Truths EP (@yamatairecords), Sessions EP (@trustaudiodnb), and the heavyweight Defected / Bad Juju on @SkankandBass, R3IDY continues to carve his lane in the scene.

He’s collaborated with Vocalist/MC Natty D on the @dnballstars Mic Project, and earned remix support from elite names like Kyrist, Waeys, and Molecular. Backed by legends including Doc Scott, Grooverider, Sweetpea, and Bredren plus many more.

Hang Dai is a five piece Jazz Hip Hop band from Portsmouth made up of two vocalists a drummer, bassist and keyboard player.
This year has seen them support The Mouse Outfit, Frankie Knight and Slick Minded Individuals as well as perform at V-Dub Island, Victorious Festival and Icebreaker Festival and there already lined up to play Icebreaker again for 2017!

Individually the band has been around the music scene for many years from hosting, mixing and running events to playing in other bands.
Now all five of them have brought their individual styles together based on influences from all genres of music but predominantly 90's Hip Hop with a 21st century Jazzy twist.
