The Pattern of Paul

God’s heart's desire: To be one with man,                                
That we would express Him
But satan came and corrupted man,
 sin and death came in… 

	 So God became a man                    
	 Jesus Christ, His name!
	 Bore all my sins and died for me,
	 By His blood I'm redeemed!

The last Adam Himself became,
a life-giving Spirit
I called His name, I’m not the same,
I’ve been regenerated

	 The Spirit entered me!
	 Christ now is life to me!
	 I’m born again as a son of God,
	 The Triune God's in me!

I’m living by the Spirit now,
Enjoying all Christ is, 
Deny my self and turn to Him,
In fellowship, we’re in.

	 I now abide in Him!
	 He now abides in me!
	 Deny myself and turn to Him
	 In fellowship, we’re in.

I’m in the local churches now
The shining golden lampstands!
We take His name and on the ground,
The ground of oneness stand.

As His one Body we are being,
Knit together in love.
The final stage of God's building is,

Now here we are, called on to build.
As members of Christ, we are richly filled.
As He increases, we decrease;
The one new man wondrously comes to be.
Our inward being we open wide,
Let the Spirit transform and occupy;
Soak, saturate, with Christ inwrought,
Till from glory to glory we are brought.

Laid hold by vision of His house,
We build earnestly, from indiff’rence roused.
