Biography: Laurent Ci

Born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1990 and graduated in Economics, Laurent Ci approaches the world of music during childhood when he got his first guitar as a present at the age of nine. Later on, he becomes fond of the world of DJ’ing, after hanging out at some clubs in the area nearby his town. He starts mixing vinyl records at the early age of fifteen and, over the years, he manages to find his spot in clubs in his town and out-of-town, such as Sugo, Lily White, Americo Village, Fiko D’India, Ultraviolet (VIP area) etc.

Currently, he is a member of the op:um group and accordingly he mixed his music in clubs such as Club Der Visionaere (Berlin), Paradox (Egg, London), The Arches (London), Kontiki, Club 45, 45.com, Downstair, Mathilda Club, Sugar Disco Club, Container, Classic Club, La Terrazza, Geko Club sharing the mixer with international artists, for instance Praslea, Mayaan Nidam, Amirali, Fernando Costantini, Giammarco Orsini, Laura Jones, Giorgia Angiuli, Reelow, Sonartek, Flavio Vecchi, Manuel de Lorenzi, Ricky Montanari, Massimino Lippoli, Ivan Iacobucci, Silvie Loto, Andrea Ferlin, Topper, Francesco Assenza, Daniele Baldelli, Claudio Di Rocco etc. He performs at the “Amore 15 Festival” after winning the “Amore Talents” contest, held by the “Amore Festival” organization.

His DJ set are performed in an analogic mode, using vinyl records and CDs. The range of music included in his DJ set is accurately chosen following both nowadays’ developments and old-school tracks. His music is featured with melodic grooves, voice lines, break influences, and acid sounds which lead to a peculiar genre that stands between tech music and deep house.

The artists that most have influenced his music background are Anders Trentemoller, Alex Neri, kerri Chandler, Boo Williams, Mark Kinchen, Raresh, Fumiya Tanaka, Dr. Dre, D-12, G-Unit and Boomfunk Mc’s.

Nato a San Benedetto del Tronto classe 1990, laureato in economia, si avvicina sin da piccolo al mondo della musica quando all età di 9 anni gli viene regalata la sua prima chitarra. Successivamente si appassiona al mondo del djing sempre in giovane età, dopo avere incominciato a frequentare i locali della propria zona. Inizia a mixare da subito vinili all’età di 15 anni e con il passare del tempo riesce a trovare spazio nei locali della propria città e non quali: Sugo, Lily White, Americo Village, Fiko D'India, Ultraviolet (privè), Classic Club, La Terrazza, Geko Club ecc.

Da 2 anni è entrato a far parte dello staff op:um dove ha selezionato la sua musica in locali come il Kontiki, Club 45, 45.com, Downstair, dividendo la consolle insieme ad artisti internazionali come Praslea, Mayaan Nidam, Amirali, Fernando Costantini, Giammarco Orsini, Laura Jones, Giorgia Angiuli, Reelow, Sonartek, Flavio Vecchi, Manuel de Lorenzi, Ricky Montanari, Massimino Lippoli, Ivan Iacobucci, Silvie Loto, Andrea Ferlin, Topper, Francesco Assenza, Daniele Baldelli, Claudio Di Rocco etc.

I suoi dj set si sviluppano tutt’ora in maniera analogica con l’uso di vinili e cd, la musica proposta e accuratamente ricercata segue l’evoluzione dei tempi, senza tralasciare sonorità old school, ma è comunque caratterizzata da groove melodici , linee vocali, influenze break e suoni acidi, con un genere che si può collocare a metà tra tech e deep house.

Nektar Agu is an Argentine producer and DJ who has spent years exploring and experimenting to develop a truly unique sound. His music is marked by careful craftsmanship, combining intricate rhythms, immersive textures, and a thoughtful use of space that draws listeners in. This journey has established him as an artist with a distinct voice, seamlessly balancing musical sensitivity with a clear vision for the dancefloor.

His most notable releases include a remix of Franco Cinelli’s track “Spok”, the vinyl EP “1111” featuring remixes by Jorge Savoretti, Dorian Paic, and Markus Fix —supported by influential artists such as Marco Carola, Luciano, Chris Stussy, Arapu, and Mihai Popoviciu—, his vinyl release “Orient”, which received backing from Joseph Capriati and Seth Troxler, and his latest EP “Leviosa”, including a remix by the renowned Romanian artist Barac.

From his early days in the scene, he has taken the stage at some of Argentina’s most iconic clubs and festivals, including Crobar, The Bow, Río Electronic Music, and Savage, while also touring Europe twice. Over the years, he has shared lineups with acclaimed artists such as SIT, Maayan Nidam, Alexis Cabrera, Barac, Ferro, Vincentiulian, Federico Molinari, Sepp, Mike Shannon, Jorge Savoretti, Lowris, among many others.
