With release nr. 11, Luv Shack Records are once again eager to exalt the diversity of their releases, while keeping up the quality.

LUV011 is the split EP of the two up and coming electronic music duos "Manhooker" and "Space Echo". Whilst both projects are still relatively new to the scene, they have equally made a stir with their first releases.

Manhooker consists of the two Berliners by choice Tomasz “Guiddo” Switala and Sebastian “Mavin” Magassouba. Their first release appeared on Ostgut Ton´s sublabel 'Unterton' and their second EP was recently released on german heavy hitters 'Sonar Kollektiv' - a collab with ex New Yorker Snax, featuring a remix by Justus Köhncke.

With 'Pushin & Shovin', Manhooker are once again evoking the spirit of classic soulful house hymns. It's an uplifting mix of 90s organs, filtered arpeggios and thick drums all held together by an acid bassline and Mavin´s shimmering vocals. And not to forget the trumpet solo!

The remix of 'Pushin & Shovin' comes from Brazilian wunderkind ROTCIV (who has already remixed Manhooker on their Unterton release). He strips off the smoothness of the original in favor of a more raw and analogue vibe. Its groove seems like a merger of modern electro and classic house, and although ROTCIV´s trademark stabs and pads are used quite ecstatically on this remix, the song structure remains just as strong as in the original.

On The flipside we have Space Echo, the duo of Viennese producer caTekk and (Luv Shack`s very own) Lee Stevens. Their first ever production as a duo was a remix for none other than Austra on Domino Records.

They're offering two equally powerful cuts on the B-side; 'Soul Power' is nothing short of a club burner. A mighty and continuously building ride of funk organs and disco drums, all with a delightfully modern touch. When the vocal kicks in for the first time, ringing in the break, the audience will surely fall into a frenzy when exposed to it! The disco guitars are just the icing on the cake.

'Soul People' takes a slightly more sensual path. Expect dreamy rhodes, dubbed out percussive organs, an almost reggae worthy bassline, a painfully sweet vocal hook and a sharp rhythm that make this track a perfect choice for every warmup, after-hours and daytime set!

With all its ingredients, LUV011 will provide something for everyone who loves electronic music with soul!

Hard Ton, Italy's extravagant duo of all things house music are back on Luv Shack Records, unleashing six steaming hot tracks on the 'Queer Nation EP' - a precursor to the first full Hard Ton album that is due for 2017.

'Queer Nation' has singer Max swapping his falsetto with a dark mangled voice, paying tribute to some essential queer icons over a dry acid house track that rejoices in repetition, and rightly so. 

Classic Music head honcho Luke Solomon's remix of 'Queer Nation' builds up an intense 707 drum pattern, underlining rhythm guitars and Max's voice, ending in a bold acid climax. 

Italian newcomers Younger Than Me also take on 'Queer Nation', marrying an early 80's wave touch with a classic house approach.

When Hard Ton pair up with ROTCIV, 'Style Ga-Galore' awaits us. The cut up hushed vocals are thrown into a lush melange of filtered pad shots, a 303 bassline and a percussive house groove. 

'Yeah Yeah' featuring Moralez & Sames is an ode to early Detroit and Chicago house, with Max singing vigorously, syncopated hihats swirling and stabs nodding towards lil Louis. 

The final track is a LeSale disco dub of 'The Way You Rock feat. Mirror People'. LeSale strips the original drums completely, rearranging the vox, piano and synths to fit his disco workout edit style, adding a cheeky synth bassline to complete the boogie redress.

As a digital bonus there is a Luke Solomon acapella version of 'Queer Nation' for your djing pleasure.

In this surrealistic time the only thing we can do is stay positive. Even though we and many others have to adjust to the new situation, the most important thing is to stay healthy and creative.

We're busy setting up a radioshow, more on that later. For now one of the sets played at our last party by Aron Volta (PIV), a true wizard when it comes to producing and playing is online to satisfy your party loving ears!

After the glorious debut “We Go Straight Ahead EP” for Luv Shack last summer, a welcome return for LeSale with his “LeSexe / Symphony” release.

Thumping drums and throbbing bass await prerequisite footwear in “LeSexe”. And you better have a pair of some serious leather that can withstand a night heavy shuffling as LeSale gets his Boogie Boots and swagger on. Original gets tight and mighty with a groove that just demand you stomp up a floor or two in search of the booty. Aroused and alluring vocals dampen all the right places and also set up for a long night of passion. The guy knows how to sex you up for sure!

Lee Stevens & Domino play round and go a little deeper into the night with their moodier reworking of “LeSexe”. A touch more sensual and amorous, proper House style, the guys also deliver some fine musical luv potion.

Flip side starts with original slice of “Symphony”, which is exactly what it says on the tin. Epic journey of classy production and arrangement, a symphony of emotion and feeling! Intellectual ear candy and elaborate with the elements, just one of those tracks you rather did not end. Again, LeSale has the heavy foot with the kick and demands you shift from the bar area promptly. It’s another get down track as LeSale smears his thick and funky fingers and thumbs all over the knobs in his quest to wear you out physically. You just have to dance!

Finally, comrades Simonlebon & Jakobin on remix duty come good with a blissful rendition of “Symphony”. Less carnal, more erotic and seductive, and definitely more soulful in the tone! Another class act!

As has been the case for the previous eight outings for Luv Shack, the guys bring something for everyone. The success of the label has been that too. Expanding a sound just a little bit further. It’s not just about making music, it’s about making music that people want to dance to, and then adding a few more people to that list with emotive mixes and some imagination. Can’t wait for LUV 010 can you!?

Aron Volta came crashing into awareness from relative anonymity in 2019 when he became one of the bestselling deep house artists seemingly overnight. Leading up to this moment were stellar releases on Blind Vision, Madtech, and Pusher Records.

PIV frontman Prunk and label manager Chris Stussy gave the Northern Dutch producer a platform after being blown away by his demo. In the year that followed, Aron Volta became an oracle to many of the PIV artists and even worked as an engineer on some of the music. The Dutchman prepared an exclusive one hour mix of tasty house groovers.
