It’s that time again; the time when the Moon Harbour label takes stock of its close associates and asks them for some brand new and exclusive material. That material, for the fifth time in this series, has been collected and collated into Moon Harbour Inhouse Vol.5 and features label friends old and new, established and breaking through. It’s a simple premise, but one that offers many delights.

First up is Michael Melchner with his woozy, deep tech number ‘Avocadas’ which is all bendy tones and gloopy percussion, before key family member Sven Tasnadi steps up with the curious and off kilter charmer that is ‘Poker Nights.’ Scattered with steel drums and grubby basslines, it’s a contribution that’s as charming as it is cheeky.

Elsewhere, stalwarts like Luna City Express serve up the sci-fi licked, metallic whips and snaps of ‘NutTalk’ and one of the label’s newer signings, Philip Bader, drops a bobbling bassline beats in the form of ‘The Green Machine’. Fellow new recruit Sable Sheep also gets in on the action with his firing and punchy ‘Plague’ and label head Matthias Tanzmann shows he is in fine fettle with the hiccupping loops and late night synth smears of his shuffling ‘Around’.

With the likes of Dan Drastic, recent full length man Ekkohaus and the influential Italoboyz all coming good in the second half of the compilation (thanks to tracks that range from trippy and feathery to firmly rooted house via unhinged and inventive) Moon Harbour Inhouse Vol.5 proves that there is plenty of strength in depth in the labels roster.

Always sonically evolving at the same time as staying true to their original ideals, there are few labels as reliable as this when it comes to dancefloor dynamite. What’s more, to support the compilation, Matthias Tanzmann chips in with a DJ Mix for Beatport Mixes that will be available on the day of release.

Makin me, makin me, love you! It is impossible to put these words more charmingly into a microphone than this young girl by the name of amy lyon does. She is telling stories about sunshine which flows in her hair while aike the young lad and producer of the song puts a soft housegroove on top of these dreams. Thats your personal ticket for a ride into the sunset at slow supersonic speed.A good track does not need a lot of ingredients, it just neeeds the right ingredients. The release will be out right on time for the early fall in 2012, when the days are much too short already and everybody wants to have the scent of summer back.
The two remixes by DJ aroma and Sven Wegner give a great opportunity to rethink the fluffyness and bring back the open air beats of the Berlin summer in Aroma`s case or the elegant Housegroove for a place by the water, which Hamburgs housescene is so famous for. All three interpretations are good for special moments, makin me makin me, love you!

Makin me, makin me, love you! Geht es noch charmanter? Wohl kaum. Amy Lyon, die diese bezaubernden Zeilen in das Mikrofon haucht, erzählt von Sonnenschein der durch ihr Haar gleitet. Aike, der junge Herr dahinter, sorgt für einen weichen Housegroove und los geht der Flug in den Sonnenuntergang. Ein guter Track benötigt nicht viele Zutaten, sondern die richtigen. Zum Release im Herbst 2012, wenn die Tage bereits wieder viel zu kurz sind, ist der Hauch von Meer und Wind im Club genau das Richtige. Die beiden Remixe von DJ Aroma und Sven Wegner interpretieren den Track, wie üblich, souverän. Aroma lässt den Berliner Sommer wieder aufleben, der Beat ist unverkennbar. Sven Wegner, der Hamburger, lässt es hanseatisch elegant krachen mit einem fetten Housebeat. Alle 3 Tracks machen dieses Release zu einem extrem hörbaren und vor allem tanzbaren Release, zum verlieben!

Back And Forth is the new label created in january 2011 by Nicola Sansoni, member of the venetian duo Cosmic Cowboys, with the target of exploring the obscure depths of club music. 

This new label wants to cross the borders between deep, tech and house, melting all the musical backgrounds and experiences of each artists into a common way of thinking about music and a unique idea of what music should represent: respect, love for the quality and the details, friendship and collaboration, all resumed in the concept: "Love Comes First". 

Representing some of the best new names in Europe, Back And Forth is definitely going to be one of the labels to watch out in the next years, receiving already the support of all the finest djs worldwide.
