Sunbird is a multi-genre rock band, blending psychedelia, funk, jazz, folk, exploratory improvisations, and mellow soundscapes into a sound all their own.

Viral Sound is a widely diverse, five-piece project based out of Providence, RI. Using jam fusion, Viral Sound combines live electronica, funk, rock and roll, reggae and jazz. 

Uniting a distinct attentiveness to sound and a feverish desire to explore every facet of musical territory, each live performance becomes an intoxicating auditory thrill that spreads like a virus. Ariel Moore’s organic bass lines and lead vocals, Charley Zahringer’s calculated guitar licks and tasteful backup vocals, and Jordan Giangreco’s trans-dimensional synthesizers/keys and powerful vocals, combine with the synergistic rhythm of Dan Rourke(drums) and Chris Ottaviano(percussion) to captivate and enchant audiences worldwide. Each member’s musical approach is unique and eclectic, drawing from varied musical backgrounds and interests. 

During Viral Sound’s live performances the members display a telepathic way of communicating with each other and the crowd to generate an explosively mind-bending musical experience. This is one virus that can’t be contained…

Based on the concept of free-flowing improv and communication through instruments all while maintaining a deep pocket groove, Background Orcs formed in late 2011. From the minute the four musicians got together to jam in a college classroom in 2009, none of them could deny that their was a special chemistry between them. All with professional and experienced backgrounds in music, the group combines elements of Fusion, Funk, Free-jazz, Progressive Rock, Electronic, Afro-Cuban, Gnawa, and West African music to create an atmosphere of psychedelic-trance for listeners. 
In April 2012, Background Orcs made their performance debut after being called last minute for a gig at Tammany Hall in Worcester, MA opening up for the former national touring jam band Psychedelphia. The band went on a short hiatus after while the guitarist and keyboardist (Riley Stockwell and Scott Lyman) traveled to Ghana for 3 weeks to study traditional African drumming under Dr. Royal Hartigan. Now armed with an array of grooves and fresh material, Background Orcs is ready to serve any musical situation. With big plans for the Summer 2012, the group has already lined up several club and festival dates around the northeast and will be recording a debut EP, all while maintaining the goal of elevating listeners and expanding the realm of possibility in the live music setting.
