Essaira releases her first drops through this limited series of 50 clear vinyls, with silkscreened and numbered covers and inserts, available exclusively via Bandcamp and in a few select shops. It is just a taste of its sonic dimension. Started in a living room in 2023, a series of tracks were churned out exclusively out of hunger. The darker sides were exposed, like wounds under the sun, their colour turning to rust.
Warm sounds blend with raw electronic rhythms, vocals overlap with taut synthesisers, pierced by sharp guitars, while industrial rhythms mark the darkness and power of this time. Pay attention.

Dramla is a lament from the belly, an existential annoyance that stems from an awareness of how a capitalist society inevitably pilots some of our daily choices. Facing the stares of those who do not understand but still place production expectations on us. The only thing worth investing in is feeding the strays.

Xirxe is a hymn to weirdness, to the monstrous feminine. An overturning of the vision of the woman-victim that comes to us from Greek mythology, in which courage to distance oneself from toxicity is interpreted as escape, weakness. In which defiance of patriarchal Olympian rules is seen as an act of vicious disobedience and not as vindication of one's own choices. Xirxe takes a voice, recounts her choices, her courage and her vulnerability. Through self-awareness, she moves her choices and shapes her surroundings, dancing around obstacles, defining limits to be defended at all costs if violated Every body, in order to be crossed, needs consent.

Following up a stellar contribution to the ‘In Order To Dance 4.0’ album with his track ‘Structured Chaos’, UK producer Dharma returns to R&S Records with a 4 track EP brimming with forward thinking electronic sounds.

Having previously released on esteemed labels such as Lone Romantic, Permanent Vacation and Man Power’s Me Me Me imprint, the Sunderland born producer stacks up four tracks of colourful and urgent dance on the ‘Gracie’ EP.

From the opening title track to the EP’s closing number ‘Ratchet’, Dharma takes kaleidoscopic melodies and analogue motifs and melds them around futuristic breaks and intelligent rhythms, resulting in a bright and exuberant collection of tracks.

The third release of Behua Icára is an EP - VA of reworks from the album “Non Axebo” by Withner FaGo, an activist and rapper from the Shipibo Konibo Xetebo community. Singing in his native language, FaGo narrates myths and legends, as well as stories of cultural and environmental resistance from his community in the central Peruvian Amazon.

Some of these stories emerge from the collective’s imagination and worldview of his community, such as “Chaikonibo,” which refers to enchanted men who protect the jungle; “Non Nete” - Our World - which describes the four indigenous worldviews of the community: Jakon Nete (The Upper World), Non Nete (The Earthly World), Pashin Nete (The Underworld), and Jene Nete (The Water World); and “Mai Yoshin” - Land of Demons - a generational tale from Pucallpa.

“Non Mai” - Our Land - a protest song against oil companies and deforestation, has been reinterpreted by Eomac, with a harsh and frantic percussive syntax, making it the perfect soundtrack for frontline defense.
