Skelper inhabits the dark, damp and cold Dunedin region not one man who dares to travel there by choice returns the same. Dunedin's over casting gloom and long cold misty nights has kept many men trapped inside enjoying sound of drum and bass. Drum and Bass acts as a warm humid haze as it repulses over and over whilst man is shivering in excitement as his fellow friend double drops his two favorite selections a smile that extends form ear to ear, an out burst a war cry even; of the joyful words that every inspiring DJ is yearning to hear "FUCK OFF CUNT THATS RUDE". At last the DJ's job is done he has pleased the crowd, gained attention of the other gender and has a feeling of accomplishment and now will look on as another young malnourished male approaches the spotlight. The young male can be described in David  Attenborough voice and the animal he can be compared to would be something close to a young Coues white-tailed deer. " The young male eyes expand has he is signaled to the all clear by the alpha male. this is a perfect sign it is ok to approach and he embark on a journey many would fear but it is essential for the survival of his race". But there is one thing the Dunedin story telling has forget to mention is as this might seem dirty and lack cleanliness. There is one thing that Dunedin has in common with Hitlers concentration camps or even surviving the worlds toughest prison's is the unspoken bond you gain from being in the darkest places imaginable. like looking after your mate once he has greened out  deep and enduring commitment that doesn't waver, no matter what storms life sends your way that's what it means to pick up another Billy Mavs and have just one more night on the piss on the 14th day or re o week it truly is a war and many succumb  to weakness and tremble and the feet of their mistress whilst the foot soldiers power through and carry on the strong and proud traditional ceremonies that the shattered glass street (Castle Street) upheld. 

In the depths of his layer he has forged a tune that perfectly describes his way of life, skanking to dutty dnb.
