This is a set I prepared specially for this edition of Transition Festival 2025. I went into my psychedelic archives and pulled out this 1999-2002 retro set. Lots of the music I used to play, non-melodic psychedelic trance. Post Goa era, going parallel to the Full On times, this was the music that you could usually hear at the alternative stages, where I definitely belonged. Artists like Son Kite, Ticon, Yumade, Parasense, Logic Bomb, Hux Flux, Krumelur,...

I hope you find joy visiting the sounds of another era, my take on minimalistic and murky atmospheres.

BREGER kicks off a new series presenting Kafka Tempo's soundscapes: "This set showcases the full range of my label Kafka Tempo, moving from Minimal through Psytechno and Darkprog, with a few broken-beat pit stops along the way. Performed live at Psyworthy in Portugal, May 2025." Goa-based BREGER is not one to sit still. As the owner of Kafka Tempo and co-founder of Copycow and Beatplantation Festival in Germany, he has spent 20 years supporting underground culture. His music has appeared on labels like Zenon and Soupherb, with standout releases including Hippies in Danger. With three LPs and hundreds of tracks, he moves between minimal and raw techno, always carrying a dark and groovy edge. His love for psychedelic elements is evident in his productions and continues to inspire. In his sets, Breger keeps things unpredictable, blending improvised sounds and samples to break away from repetition. He shifts freely between live and DJ sets, flowing with the moment. With a busy summer of gigs ahead, his winter months will be spent in residency with the beach collective Vortex Goa.

BREGER | Kafka Tempo Series EP. 1 | 27/05/2025

This is the set I played at the party I organised with friends (Selekt!) in Berlin, a week after Masters of Puppets. The location was an underground club called Void in East Berlin. The vibe was great, rooms were full, and the lineup was some of the best the style has to offer: Hypogeo, Kromagon, Krumelur, Ash Roy, Folic State,... It was a collaboration with the local crew psYsq, and everything ran smoothly.

My set was the last one, right after Subterfuge Acoustique, and I delivered one of my darkest sets, matching the artists in the lineup. Happy with the whole experience, I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did playing it.
