Three tracks deep, Backtrack welcomes Takeo.K to the label with Room to Breathe.

From the outset, ‘On My Way Home’ directs a late 90’s shoegaze come trip-hop wave that's in no rush to it's destination. ‘Weird War Dub’ echoes hard-wired, industrial work from Takeo’s previous releases, weaving a tapestry that shifts listeners through jittery emotion to a state of tranquillity. The EP culminates with ‘Room To Breathe’. An introspective overtone sees moody 90’s guitar work layered against stripped back breakbeat, harking back to the melancholy of DJ Krush. The totality of his project pays testament to Takeo’s novel vision. One that is sorely missed on the West Coast.
