The Departure is an EP album covering three songs from various artists, such as Newjeans and Billie Eillish. The EP represents BACON as the main artist, owning the covers with the featured vocalist from the same band as her, JINLI. Furthermore, it is indicated to showcase BACON’s acting skills along with her favorite songs, displaying a side where the character is daydreaming before realizing the imitated world she is trapped in. The intro of the album captures a feeling of nostalgia and vintage to transit to the title track, ‘How Sweet,’ which symbolizes the realization of the fakeness in the surroundings. Additionally, ‘Bubble Gum’ shows another side of love as we adore someone like sweets, while BIRDS OF A FEATHER gives off the same vibe to the feeling of confession to the one we like.
