Interview with Mod Sens and Nils T: 

Q: What made you start DJing?

Mods: When me and my brother were teens he discovered electronic music but he wouldn't bother getting into it himself so he pushed it onto me instead. As the good little brother I am I complied and I'm very grateful for doing so!

Nils: I heard Boys Noize - & Down, 2007, and saw all the cool clubs in Europe on youtube! 

Q: Describe your style in three words.

Mods: Dynamic, broken, bass

Nils: Bass, kick and fun hehe

Q: Your best set in 2023/2024?

Mods: Either at Melt vol.2 in October last year or Come:Unity back in April. The prior one covered basically everything I enjoy and the reception of the crowd was absolutely amazing. To have that at our second event was more than I could've ever wished for. Come:Unity was just mayhem, period.

Nils: This summer together with Dirty hands & Skyddsrum at a lovely beach in Malmö!

Q: Your favorite track right now?

Mods: This is a tough one but 'Gangsta' by Axle has been highly re-occuring in my sets the past year. One of those that simply never goes wrong - wonky, murky, 4x4 grime. 

Nils: My top track now on Spotify is How Many Mics - Fugees

Q: A track you never get tired of?

Mods: Anything by Djrum! Especially from Portrait with Firewood, amazing album from start to finish.

Nils: Shiiiiiiiiie, can it be Another world - The Chemical Brothers?!

Q: Where can one find the best falafel in Malmö?

Mods: Mr. Falafel! Gimme that pomegrenade and mint!

Q: A Malmö DJ you want to highlight?

Bad Balance: 

Malmö-based Bad Balance, founder of the mixcast series and club concept Malmö Techno Tales and one of the co-founders of the collective Kenopsia, began his DJ journey in 2020. It all started when he and a few friends took the leap to organize open-air events on the outskirts of Malmö. Since then, he has become a household name in his hometown and has had the opportunity to play at some of the most renowned clubs in Copenhagen.

He usually gravitates towards a mix of hypnotic and groovy techno sounds, with a penchant for blippy sounds, rhythmic beats, and round kicks.
