This is a UKHC promo mix that I handed out only on self-burned CDR's during a handful of gigs during the summer of 2012. To my recollection, this mix has never been uploaded to my Soundcloud previously. Point of note: I am *not* a scratch DJ. In fact, I would go so far as to say I genuinely don't know how to scratch properly at all. It's just something I've never taken the time to learn. Regardless, I did just a bit of scratching around on the intro of this mix, and I think it still came out pretty listenable.

EPISODE 20

2024 is a new year and what an exciting one lies ahead for this humble little podcast. This passion project started with an idea to create a regular series where I could showcase the enormous variety of music in the harder styles, to bridge the gap between scenes, and eventually to showcase phenomenal talent in the form of guest mixes. It was always the intention to push new sounds and expose new perspectives on the hard dance music family of genres. All of this year's guests will be carefully selected in line with the Morph Harder vision and ethos.

So for this first guest slot of 2024 I am proud to present to you one of Japan's top production talents, the hugely versatile and unmistakable DJ Shimamura. Bringing the happy hardcore sound to the table in all it's guises taking influences from across it's rich history, Shimamura's style not only honors the past but brings in the future, a bright future at that.

This guest mix is of course accompanied by my usual showcase some of the very best hard dance has to offer right now, complete with Track of the Month, The Curveball Track, and nodding to the heritage of the music with the Flashback Track, and now introducing Remix of the Month too!

So crew, international selections, a global community united in music, 2024 let's do this!

As the night was not recorded, here's my re-recorded live set from Future Focus at the Orange Rooms 27.04.24. I was asked by the promoter to put together a psytrance to freeform set, and I was only too happy to oblige, multi-genre BPM increasing madness is my bag after all!

Future Focus is a great little night and a great community is building up around it, and this event continued that theme with a unique party following CLSM's To the Edge of the World Album Launch!

The Sound Of Spring 2024

I'm the type of DJ that when I'm not spinning on stage, I'll be right up front with the rest of the crowd, dancing my heart out the whole night. I'm not there to try and get famous or to show off my skills. I'm there because I love the music and I love to DJ, and because it's the most fun I've had in my whole life.

I'm from Chicago and I've been djing since March 2011. I mostly spin UK Hardcore, but occasionally dabble in J-Core, Gabber, Hard Dance, Drum'n'Bass, and Electro. I also like to try and toss a bit of humor into my sets. :)

I'll be uploading my most current mixes here, but for the most part, this account will be for any individual track/remixes/mash ups that I make.
