Whitewater are a U.K based progressive rock band created by Stuart Stephens and Paul Powell. Formed in Febuary 2013, Their first album is entitled "The Sound of a Galaxy Smashing". Whitewater are currently in the studio working on new material.

Stuart and Paul met around 2010 and soon realized that they had a shared passion for rock music, old and new, not just to listen to but to perform . shortly after meeting they decided to set up a rock covers band, playing the sort of classic and modern rock covers that you generally didn't hear. This project was short lived lasting only around 2 years.
Stuart started experimenting with ideas, samples and sounds.

After a few samples and a few late nights the start of a song had appeared. Paul had no idea at this time what was happening until Stuart asked Paul to take a listen to this track, Paul layed a drum line down for the track that would become the first song from the album The Sound of a Galaxy Smashing. And so Whitewater was formed. I'll see you someday blossomed from an idea to an almost 13 minute odessey, that held some personal observations and feelings that had occurred over the few months before the songs birth.
Next to come from these sessions was the second track Stardust, closely followed by Aura Dreamscape, Only to You and the symphonic Wrong way round a Left Hand Bend and last but not least Rainbow Bridge. Upon completion of the album Stuart and Paul decided to release the album under their own label of Whitewater Productions.
The bands music has matured since finishing The Sound of a Galaxy Smashing and have almost completed work on their second album which is entitled Obscured by the Sun. The new album is a 10 track trip through progressive rock, but also calling upon most other styles of rock.

All music & lyrics are written and produced by Stuart Stephens and Paul Powell.

Paul plays drums, percussion, Rhythm Guitars, programming and samples.

Stuart plays lead, rhythm and bass guitars, keyboards, samples and programming.Stuart sings all vocals & backing vocals.

Stuart's equipment consists of: Ibanez Guitars, Line 6 Variax Guitars and Adam Black Guitars, Yamaha Synthesizers,Casio synthesizers, Roland SP808 samplers, Laney Amps, Boss ME70 Multi Effects Pedals, Sennheiser wireless guitar systems and Shure SM58 and sm57 Microphones.


Paul's equipment: Pearl Drums and hardware on a Pearl Dr1 drum rack. Zildjian cymbals 13in K/z Hats, 22in Z heavy power ride, K 17in China, 16in A custom crash, 17in & 18in A crashes. Ahead & Vic Firth drum sticks. Shure microphones.

Jon Hunt is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from London. 

His music, though often described as 'quintessentially English' is eclectic in style ranging from alternative rock and power-pop to ballads; vocal and acoustic guitar to progressive rock and psychedelia.

Jon has had tracks played several times by Tom Robinson and Gideon Coe on BBC 6 Music, and has also been played by Steve Davis on his 'Interesting Alternative Show'. 

Jon released three albums during the period 2008-2013 followed by a compilation album 'Morning Sun' (2015) and the 'Emergency Call EP' in 2019

Jon is also singer, guitarist and songwriter in Carcrash Casino (whose debut album was released in December 2020 to overwhelmingly positive reviews).

His fourth full-length album 'An Explosion Of Nothing' was released on August 9th 2024, and is probably his most eclectic and fully-realised album to date.
