JEEPERS FLIPPIN' CREEPERS, THIS STUFF ROCKS!

The second in a micro-house experimental series experimenting with the use of field recorded percussive sampling. In this song the sounds of clapping, snapping, table drumming, and mouth pops and clicks are used to create an intricate and detailed evolving percussion layer. The synths work with this to create a fuzzy and warm journey deeper into the soundscape. Don't miss out on "One of Four", "Three of For", and "For of Fore" using similar techniques in different environments. ENJOY!

The Mysterious Decibel X Mahan Mahan - A Septic Journey (FREE DOWNLOAD)

This song started as an idea David and I came up with to do an afrobeat song together.  So David came up with this banger of a bass line and drums track and sent it to me. I added some guitars, electric piano, and organ. I then excitedly sent it to Mikey to add the sax, which I consider to be a key element of afrobeat music, and which he always does so well. David's version is much more drum and bass heavy. Please have a listen to both so you can hear how they both sound. I really had a good time making this song. David produced and mixed both versions, and what a fun thing it is to hear my instruments integrated into an elrctronica song by such able hands.
