April 2009 marked Badfish's breakout return at the newly re-opened Galaxy Concert Theatre in the band's hometown of Santa Ana, CA. The show featured Badfish alongside The Dirty Heads, Mishka with special guests Rome and Eric Wilson from Sublime as well as reggae stalwart Eek-A-Mouse. Fans dubbed it the show of the year and it proved a springboard for all artists. Badfish then rattled off shows wit
h Rome from Sublime, The Untouchables, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and The Wailing Souls before being invited to play Long Beach's Irie Festival. Southern California's largest two-day outdoor event paired them with reggae's best including Tippa Irie, Half Pint, Mr. Vegas, Beres Hammond, Inner Circle and many more.

2011 has been crazy for Badfish, kicking off the year with a monumental, sold-out show with Bob Marley's Wailers on their "Uprising Tour", then headlining the House of Blues Hollywood's 4/20 party where they rolled up in two 60-person party buses and straight took over the venue. From there Badfish was asked to headline South Central LA's Million Marijuana March. On the heels of earning respect from the hiphop heavy crowd, they played direct support for longtime favorite and reggae legend Don Carlos. "Badfish's two vocalists delivered a high-energy performance which encouraged the fans to raise their glasses and dance. Together, their positive electricity was contagious," noted Amy Heish of OC Music Magazine.

VH1's Save the Music show with rap veterans Redman and Fat Joe was a definite highlight, and Badfish rode that momentum into October where they shared the stage with reggae standouts past and present. Rocking with the father of dancehall King Yellowman, as well as buzzworthy new schooler Collie Buddz once again solidified Badfish as Southern California reggae force.

With well over an album's worth of new songs thoroughly road-tested and crowd approved, Badfish is excited to be in the studio finishing up their long-awaited "Strictly Original" EP. Featuring the singles "Strictly Original", "Rob U Blind" and "Drinkin' Problem", the record displays Badfish seamlessly blending the gamut of reggae styles with golden-era hiphop. The band plans to quickly follow up this release with a full-length album to give fans a hearty helping of the Badfish they have tasted so far.
