In anticipation of Depeche Mode's new album in early 2013, we sat down to put a white label spin on one of DM fans' favorite tracks, Martin Gore's 1984 piano track 'Somebody'. This song, despite its popularity, has never been released as a remix. Understanding the challenges, we set out to create a piece that incorporates Scala's wonderful acapella version, while moving the song into a more upbeat and current soundsphere. We are tremendous fans of Depeche Mode's music and hope our carefully crafted remix does the original justice while providing listeners a look back onto this great 80's song in anticipation of new DM material.
