For the last 3 years, Dreaming Vinyl have been operating as a motion graphics studio and music discovery platform; where they reimagine a variety of their favourite records in the form of animated vinyl stickers. Their studio have been commissioned from the likes of XL Recordings, Blue Note, Rhythm Section, Anz & EGLO Records + more.

This year Dreaming Vinyl launch their label: DV Records, kicking it all off by celebrating 9 exciting electronic dance tracks for their V/A charity release. The 9 compilation tracks are paired with 9 visualisers, designed and animated by the Dreaming Vinyl co-founders, who have a deep interest in audio-visual relationships. The compilation features talent from the likes of Elphin, LUXE, Impey, Herman, DJ ojo, Sister Zo, GoodMostlyBad, Ikävä Pii, and Tim Reaper.

The debut compilation explores a CD release raising money for MAP Charity. MAP Charity is an alternative education provider working with young people in Leeds who are unable to access the mainstream school system. Young people access empowering music and arts qualifications and opportunities to professional pathways at their home, Hope Foundry is also home to MAP Charity's in-house fundraising event Cosmic Slop - where resident and guest DJs play records through a unique custom-built soundsystem and 100% of the funds raised goes towards supporting the education programme.

Since its inception, Early Reflex has been a beacon of innovation in the electronic music scene, consistently pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. "Flex005" is no exception, offering an immersive journey through 13 tracks that redefine the sonic landscape.

The tracks featured on Flex005 span a wide range of styles and influences, each offering a unique perspective on the intersection of techno and experimental soundscapes.This highly anticipated release features a diverse array of tracks from both established icons and emerging talents, each offering a unique perspective on the intersection of electronic music and artistic innovation.

Flex005 is available across all platforms on Friday 21st June 2024.

Despina returns to All Centre for the first time since 2022’s Limb Slip to deliver our 60th release. The rising NYC artist follows recent releases on Kindergarten and Infinite Machine to bring together yet another outstanding release of mind-melting dancefloor futurism.

Opening track Orogene wastes no time in bringing up the energy levels with a swelling synth line, boisterous chants and rolling fills constructing an intense build-up. An alien-like synth line then leads the track forward alongside heavy syncopated drum patterns. The track builds even further with sharp synth stabs, culminating in dancefloor chaos.

On Sin Rooms, Despina invites vocalist Xu Lai who lays down abstract, energetic vocals over masterful drum programming and tense, enveloping sound design. A hazy pad floats in and out of the track, whilst an ecstatic arpeggiated melody enters in the second half, adding a hypnotic edge to the track’s powerful vocals and percussive dynamism.

City in Plastic closes the EP with a heavy electro-inflected club cut. Sharp, mechanical hi-hats give way to a propulsive groove. As the track rolls and builds, an addictive earworm chord progression bounces around driving percussion and snarling synth work.

● ‘Innate Needs’ marks Ishan's first extended release as an artist, following the release of his debut album. He leverages similarities to create a juxtaposing, almost severe, experience with "Innate Needs." The Compilation delves more into the concept of wants, the forces that shape a being's needs, and far more. The album marks an investigation of darker musical experiences with undercurrents of burdened grief and reminiscence. The broken beat selection is halfway between listening and dancing. This six-track compilation, which began with a storytelling notion, pays homage to the grunge and gore epoch of human history.
